My thoughts rn:
Big bore might be worth a try, but since i love to be different (very dumb thought ik), i will probably not get a 70cc
Since airbox is same as TaoTao and other chineses, restrictions would be the same, in conclusion, the very first thing i'm doing is buying a carb jet kit to not run lean after the restriction removal.
Might pay somewhere to do parts that do negligible results

It depends on how good the shop you purchase the scoot from is. Some seem good, other's not so much. I would at least replace the oil before I ride it. I've heard so many stories of the poor quality oil used to just ship the bike. I believe it's supposed to be replaced as part of the PDI process. It's cheap insurance to change it and easy to do yourself.

I am strictly speaking about upgrades, rest assured that i will do the basic maintenance required. I will change the oil after buying it pretty much as soon as possible and every needed interval.

FYI
Scootterre has chinese scooters but is not a chinese brand. I will confidently say that i don't think that Scootterre has bogus specifications since i think they measured it in house down in Montréal.

Good news: Almost going to be able to retake the stupid test. Mediocre news: Scootterre is basically re-branded TaoTao, though the measurements are for sure done in house. Bad news: School. My Thoughts: will surely get myself a leg hole scooter since it's more light weight and less complicated for me. Storage is under the seat, everything is in front and i'll just use my scooter like a true scooter and scoot around having fun. I think that caring about the looks for maybe more disadvantages than advantages is just a really dumb move from my part. If i wish to have efficiency and power to do a tiny bit of snail pace racing, i better not just throw everything out the window just for looks. What i originally wanted looks cool but is way more expensive, bulkier and i don't want to deal with an abnormal storage compartment. I think failing that test is a blessing in disguise!

Unfortunate news...
They let me be on the roads...
(This is all sarcasm)
What now?: It will be time for me to close in on a choice of a scooter. I will be tenfold times more active on this thread and will ask many times for help on general things, like beginner tips such.
I have for now locked in on a renamed TaoTao pony (Scootterre Bistro).
Thank you very much for participating!

My location is not at all helping me in terms of choices of scooters
It is always the same thing; Far, Expensive, Not my type.
I think i will just give up on searching and go with the obviously best answer. The Scootterre Bistro. If you want to dip your toes in this thread to see and help me on some things, I call it the Bistro, but it's just another TaoTao Pony or a Wolf RX-50. Will see if i have the current finances to pay the hefty 2600$ asking price by the shop, and also look at the little thing in real life before purchasing.
If i manage to find a way to not spend as much money, I will surely take it, I'll take anything at this point seeing the sheer saturation of the Quebec scooter market, kind of a shame really!
Wish you all a nice day!

Dilemma arc to this thread
There will still be a 50cc GY6 powerplant, but the scooter that will be driven will probably not be the tiny nimble thing I expected to get.
I went and saw the scooters in real life.
Went to my local scooter shop holding the scooters which I kind of fond over, the prices are at their lowest for the end of season sale. (Before the store closes)
They had the tiny stuff, the big stuff, the oldschool stuff, the new stuff. But my first love wasn't there. I wasn't interested in the first love anymore, some of the things found on the 2 scoots I saw there just blew my mind.
The Big one: Scootterre Rebel -Big -Comfortable -Good space for passenger -12in wheels -Digital tach Cons: -a little tall -under seat compartment is a little small -heavy -clearly not made for 50cc (2in gap from head to body) -More expensive side (3100$)
Small second love: Scootterre Bistro (TaoTao Pony) -Small -Light -Feet stay planted in ground at standstill -Large under seat compartment -Cheaper than other (2600$) Cons: -Passenger might be uncomfortable -10in wheels -feels cheaper (placebo effect? Worse grips?)
Would like to know some opinions on those choices. Questions: Should I really worry much about weight?
Dealer said quote: "We offer to install BBK's, [...] $ thing that comes up to 500$ for the install" (what I think i heard). BBK's are from scootterre and 80cc. I thought about removing airbox restrictions and changing main jet instead of taking up the offer. What do you think?
