I am wanting to add a bbk to my 139qmb, what are the pro's and con's to the 80 vs. the 100cc? Been told not to go 100 cuz the rest of the bike couldn't handle the power, is this true?

whats the 100cc kit??? you will probably find it isnt 100cc at all, more like 86cc. a lot of them are badly advertised. also be sure the kit you buy you dont need to make any crankcase mods. on some you have to machine the crankcases to get the barrel to fit.
also, just fitting the bigger bore is unlikely to make the scoot go faster - it'll make it ccelerate quicker as there will be a bit more power, but without changing the carb, cdi, exhaust and trans mods it wont miraculously turn into a speed demon lol!
is still the best mod to do to any scoot though. go for it.

the first rule to scooter tuneing make a seprate stash of money the wife doesnt know about for scooter tuneing im willing to bet that she has a secret stash that she buys stuff for and us dumb guys belive when they say oh i have had that forever
if my wife ever knew how much money i spend on my scooters i would proably be a dead man but when she does say something i remind her that its cheaper then hoping up my truck

there is no true 100cc kit. biggest is 52.4mm making it 89cc with the stock crank. i have 4000 miles now on a 50mm 82cc and it runs beautiful so no the thing about the rest of the bike not handling the power is not true.

the original design of this engine was 47mm 72cc (commonly referred to as 80cc) and it works just fine with either 47mm bore or 50mm bore (72cc and 82cc respectively) Some companies put 39mm bores on them to go along with stupid american laws but the new ones i sell are 47mm 72cc from the factory.

thank you for all the input, I have to change my factory carb, it don't have a mixture adjustment on it, what about the factory muffler?? Heard there may be a restricter in it.
