I use AMSOil Sabre Professional 100:1 in all of mine, but I only mix it at 50:1. I tried 80:1 when I first got it and that resulted in seizes. I've been using 50:1 for a few years now with good results. I think the stuff prob would work at 80 or 100:1 in a two-stroke tiller or weedwhacker maybe, but not in my scoots.
yes i do use it til now. motorex scooter forza 2t. i'll post pics if i could. but as a consumer tip buy the motocross race oil of theirs - because i noticed it has the same rating but offered at a lower price. but i haven't tried that one yet although i got a quart already ;D
the backyard oil testing i did was in desperate attempt on quantifying what i've observed. because at one time i already had about 5 different brands in my garage ranging from mineral, semi, to fully synthetic. repsol, maxima, motul, shell, castrol. haven't tried ipone which i haven't seen sold here.
i also check the tailpipe deposits to act as a sight-glass on whats going on in the block - in terms of amount of oil i mix and if i'm running lean or rich. and to my observations you can make it as a benchmark before you pull out the spark plug or remove the head. use a flashlight to see further down the tailpipe and you may see the color which is the same as what you see on the plug. i do this one because i do wide open throttle runs from time and couldn't wait for the engine to cool down for me to take out the plug right away fearing that i may strip the threads of the hot cylinder head.
the frying pan oil testing to me gave me a good idea. try this with a cheap grade and the current oil your using. we all agree cheap oil has too much deposits or leaves lots of deposits in the piston dome and cylinder head and the better stuff doesn't. just the same practice caution on this.
