I just scored a 2007 Tank 150cc 4 stroke Urban Racer for $30.00!!! The only problem is that the body parts are toast. the owner had it for ten minutes and plowed a tree. It sat in his yard for about six months uncovered when I saw it. My question is does anyone know where I can get the entire body for this? Also are there any other bodies that I can put on this without major mods to mounts etc.? I am a complete noob to scooters, but I can figure some stuff out.
Thanks in advance.

Scootersgeorgia are ok. I've bought from them. Limited stock though, as they have been closing shop for a while now.

they have some parts but most are gone. I was thinking of doing a stripped down style possibly going with just the essentials like the floor panel, Console Molding, Seat bucket and the fenders, modify the lights with some led's and go from there. similar to what 90GTVert did with his Triton. It looks pretty cool and apparently it works so I may follow in the footsteps.

this may be a dumb question but how hard would it be to make your own parts like a custom fiberglass body or something...?

I have 0 experience in body work so that is going to be my last option.

I've got 95% of those body panels out in my garage painted "incredible hulk" green, the paint could be stripped off fairly easily I believe. Here's a link to them 49ccscoot.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=builds&action=display&thread=1177&page=4, the painting starts in about halfway down the page. I've also got a brand new headlight assembly sitting on the shelf for it which was a to find. PM me if its something your interested in.

The path of least resistance would be to find an identical model with a knackered motor perhaps for $150 - give or take. Or the old parts can be restored by plastic welding/fiberglass matt backup on the backside/filling with bondo/sanding/spot putty/sanding/paint. You can do it if you have the time and patience. You may need some junk panels to fill in for missing pieces or some other plastic filler product to fill small voids. A heat gun is helpful for forming the junk plastic pieces where necessary.

That body "Type" comes in several different configurations. The rear panels from one brand may not fit on another brand for instance. The floor panels are slightly different on some others. If you want to be certain that they all fit you should buy a whole set or another whole scooter cause if you piece it together from several sources you most likely won't get parts that fit to each other.

Ok my noob is showing I have been corrected the scoot I have is NOT a Urban Racer by Tank. It is a Tank the model is a 2007 150T-10B Sporty 150. Tis is what I need the chassis for. I was looking at the above refrenced web site but I do not know the proper letter-number sequence (for example BT125T-7) to look at. Can someone explain this to me and give me the right numbers and letters for this scoot please.
