I ordered 2 pilot jets and 2 o-rings on Friday when I saw no Black Friday sale that would change anything at gforcemx. I got a notification that same day (11/25) that my order was shipped via FedEx 2 day. So today I'm thinking I should be seeing my jets anytime. Just got an email that my order was refunded because none of it is in stock. So I think my next option is to pay around $60 IIRC for 2 little pilot jets from overseas. It may be worse than that. I think one site wanted $57 to ship 2 jets. If only this carb used the 5mm pilot like the other 25 & 28mm Dells that I have. Anyway, it's clearly in need of a pilot jet so the one it came with isn't turned way out to the danger zone, but damn that's a lot of money for a couple of jets. I have that big set of jet drills if that will help.

European shipping is ridiculous but I can’t swim there so I’m stuck with their costs. For some items the lower costs offset the shipping.

Have you tried different sources than the usual ones? I mean, your carb isn't a unicorn which uses unicorn jets. Some other dellorto types must be using these jets too. Tons and tons of European bikes (and cars!) were equipped with dellorto's. Maybe try calling some bike shops? The ones specialized in vintage bikes and such.

Basically just searching for "16690" or VHST pilot jet or idle jet. I've got 3 other Dells from 25-28mm and none of them use these. dellorto.co.uk says ~$35 shipped for 2 jets and 2 o-rings. Shipping is actually cheaper than GForceMX right here in the US. I may get 3 to be sure I'm covered. Current is 33. I was going to get a 35 and 38, but I think I'm gonna add a 40 so I shouldn't have to worry about pilot jets for another ~$10. EDIT : I just ordered... but I had the wrong conversion rate. I thought it was Euro. Wasn't thinking. It's GBP. So what I thought was about $45 wound up being $57. Shipping still cheaper than GForce even with the correct exchange.

Just for interest, here in the UK I can post a small parcel (up to 2kg) to the USA for around £15,I would ask any suppliers why they demand so much for shipping, you can take a short cut of having it delivered to a UK address and then forwarded on it takes bit of time and a PayPal account just pm me.

The pilot jets finally arrived yesterday. Exactly a month from the order date.
I put in a 38 (up from 33 original) and adjusted the mix screw. It's now out only a reasonable amount (1.5-2 turns). Not a great test though, since it was an unusually warm 60 degree day. Maybe it's enough that when it's cold again I can adjust it without the mix screw on the verge of falling out.

I would ask any suppliers why they demand so much for shipping They're a shop, they need to make money. If you calculate the efforts and time someone has to put into that order and risk avoidance that has to be taken (and paid), you'll get to such a number. But yeah you can save some money if you can find a UK resident to help you out. Tsimi (user from Japan) helped me out a couple of times orderding stuff from Japan.

I haven't updated this thread for awhile because I've just been riding T2 every now and then for 10-60 mile trips. No mods. It's doing mostly OK, but I think it's time for some maintenance.
I went to take it out 2 days ago and the rear tire looked pretty flat. It had 11psi. I pumped it up to 45psi and gave the tire a quick look. Put some spit on anything that looked suspicious, but didn't see any leaks. I rode it maybe 20 miles and it was fine, still at around 43psi. The next day it was at 40psi. Today it's at 35psi. At least I'll need to spray the whole tire and valve stem down and check it, if not take it off and dunk it in water.
I haven't tried to take off in quite a while since I haven't done any mods and testing lately. I stopped to give it a try just for fun and it seemed like it was slipping when I rolled in instead of trying to wheelie. I haven't opened the CVT for quite some time either, so I suspect the belt is wearing. It's pretty nice to not have to take the cover off constantly to check the belt like I did with my setups before the RC1.
Things that I'd like to do sooner or later :
It still runs hot WOT, even not being too cold. I've seen as much as 1350 EGT before I let off. That will need attention if it continues. I'd like to get an airbox on it.
I'd like to adjust the slider weight and see if that does anything for me.
I want to see if I can get anywhere with ignition timing adjustment.
I was considering stretching the scoot for good. I talked about some moveable system at one point so I could have a wheelie capable setup and a better drag racing setup. I think I'd be better off to pick one though. A few problems there.
I'm not sure of the details and if I'd do it right (straight). Not sure if it should just be the standard mount moved back or if I'd be better off to try a simple mount where the engine basically just bolts onto a mount with rubber bushings in it without the complex system that it has now.
Plus, if I stretched it even a few inches the rear tire wouldn't sit in the bed of the truck. That wouldn't be a big deal as long as I have the tailgate on I guess, but I may tow a trailer soon while scoots are in the bed and I'm not sure that the tailgate can/should be down for that. So I may stretch the scoot right out of the truck with even a few inches... but I was thinking more like a 6" stretch.
Another thought that I had was to put the RC1 into T1. Make that the timed run scoot and leave T2 for fun. Maybe just put the TPR 86cc in T2. I don't see me wanting to constantly swap engines around. That's a whole ordeal though, since that scoot is beat from just sitting and has no radiators.
I may forget the stretch totally. I'm 300lb so I'm never gonna be really quick... but a part of me does want to leave harder when there's a Harley sitting next to me. Leaving them off the line at the last bike show was one of the most fun things I've ever done on a scoot. Maybe I should just get more HP and do faster wheel hops and accelerate harder? Anybody know where they're handing out free horsepower?

The really high end stuff is beautiful. Not having an abundance of money and actually riding my scooter are two reasons that I question the sensibility of those. I can't say that I regularly hear of many others that take their similar builds out for a 50 mile ride just because they need that 2T in their life. I'm just talking about RC1 and similar level. I've heard other people talk about very high end stuff and say no way they'd actually ride it around for fun. Right now there's no other scooter that I'm likely to run across that will stand a chance if they're willing to twist the throttle with me and I can still ride it off into the middle of nowhere when I feel like it. The exception being if Ryan is around or if I were to attend some sort of event. I know I'm not that fast, but in the real world day to day, most people around here haven't seen anything like it. GY6 150s are the biggest competition I may see and they can eat smoke. It's just the HP junkie that always wants more.

But compared to buying high end V8 custom aluminum block/head goodies, engines run into $100k. I’ll stick with two stroke paddock rippers.
