The only companies I’ve seen you interact with and gain a positive outcome are Scooter Tuning and Parts For Scooters, off the top of my head.
This aligns with my personal experience with these companies as well. Truly awesome.
Thanks to those guys for having it where it matters for the community!
If we were left to businesses like this and otherwise, we’d be hard-up.

Tires are mounted. What a pain. I'm not exactly sure why, but these tires fought me harder than any other scoot tires that I recall. My guess is the short sidewalls. I worked over some rough edges and installed wheel bearings last night. I got the front tire on the first half OK. Not one of the tires where I could just lube it and push it in by hand. That sounds bad. Anyway, I had to use irons to get the wheel in the first side. Then the second side would let me get about 1/2 of the tire on and then it would move the irons and wheel protectors. I tried putting some zip ties on the tire because it is pretty firm and hard to keep it "bunched up" so it will stay in the center part of the wheel for more clearance, but that didn't really get me anywhere. It was near 2AM at that point, so I figured it must be because I was tired. Tried again this morning. Not going easy still. My father happened to walk in and I asked him to hold an iron while I used a third. That did it. On the rear tire, I stuck it out in the sun for a while. Nope. Still a bitch. I ended up using my chin to hold one iron while I held one in place with one hand and then pried the one near my face with the other. Really not something I'd recommend as you could end up at the dentist getting some bridge work done. Got it on there though. Now I'm considering buying another pair of wheel protectors and another pair of Motion Pro irons before long so I'm prepared for next time. Normally I can remove a tire and put one back on within 10-15 minutes and it's no big deal. Not today.  I managed to scuff the raised part of the rear wheel. Didn't expect that since I was working on the work bench which has 1/8" smooth rubber on top of it. I was definitely exerting some effort to get the tires on, but I wasn't rough with the wheels. Not sure if that's a normal problem for Aerox rear wheels because they have so much offset or if it has to do with whatever my wonderful powder coater may have done to limit his losses. My other wheels have seemed to be quite resilient, but maybe they would do the same if they made contact with anything. I guess I need to use a towel under the wheel in the future.   I spent probably 15 minutes with polishing compound and a microfiber cloth on the spot on one spoke and it's better, but I can still see it. From 6ft, you'd prob not notice it the way it started. I have a buffer, but it's an old grinder/buffer that has a lot of power even on low. I've buffed enough vehicles to know that small contact patches from raised spots are a great way to burn paint quickly. The powder probably could suffer the same fate, so I'll likely just hand polish the rest as well and call it good enough. I still need to paint the letters on the other side of each tire and see if I can find the seals that I'm supposed to have around for them and epoxy a magnet on the front wheel for the Trail Tech pickup. I won't need these till the RC-One, so it's no rush. Just wanted to get it done for some reason.

Your tire pain makes me feel better about my usual difficulty at mounting tires  . I am guessing it must have something to do with certain rims.

Just did six tires with the Baja No Pinch Motorcycle Tire Mounting Tool, worked better than I thought it would. had to use spacers to protect the rear splines on the Zuma and Super 9, worked fine on the Suzuki. Almost worth the $, Still not eazy.

I did one 13” tire on the Aprilia, that sucked. The 12” Keeway tires were definitely easier.

I have that same combo, aerox wheels and power pure michelins, and it was super tight as well. I gave in and had a shop put them on. the fit was to tight, i'm still not sure the bead seated right.

I finally got back to working on T2 and the Lectron. I've got a 3-3 that I ordered. Brooks of Lectron said he was sending a 4-3, since I guessed maybe a 3-3 or 4-3, but I got a 4-4. I also got the dual power jet kit. 1 of these rods came with the carb, so there are only $180 worth of additional metering rods plus a $49 2nd power jet.... plus shipping. Thankfully, I have been given a lot of this stuff. I think I've actually bought 3 rods plus throttle springs.  I put the 3-3 in at 2.062" as specified on the reciept. It felt a bit fat at idle and free revving. Low throttle is rich. By 1/2, it's lean. WOT rich. It gives me a rich sputter on takeoff. So, that's not getting anywhere. Just like every other rod so far, if I lean it out for launch it would be super lean for cruise. If I richen for cruise it would be a sputtering mess for launch. I was on the shoulder when 2 Harleys, or some sort of cruisers, passed me on the way home. I sped up to about 70 and caught them and then was on and off at about half throttle doing 60 or a little above and it got to 223 CHT, which is hot for this thing. I switched to the 4-4 at 2.127" as spec'd on the receipt. Idle was ridiculous. It either had to idle at 4000RPM or it died. If I moved the idle speed screw a hair lower, it just dropped RPM and died. Had to use the choke too much on a warm engine. Figured it must be very lean at low throttle, but I wanted to see if I could get a test ride in so I could tell how it was for takeoff and for part throttle cruise. It lean bogged a little on launch. Then I was going to try about 1/2 throttle. I held it around 1/2 for a very short period of time before it died. CHT was under 200, but after it died I saw 215. Felt like no compression. Here we go again. I pushed it a mile and a half home. Dad was home with the truck and the ramp, but I was trying to be nice and not ask for help. Terrible idea. My back hurts like crap from leaning over while pushing. I did have 2 people offer to help, but I declined both. I could turn the flywheel/rotor by hand very easily. No need for any compression test. I took it apart and there is scuffing and erosion that once again trapped the ring and shut it down. Now I'm not sure if the 4-4 was the issue or it was already hurt from the 3-3 and following the bikes.    I should just give up on this damn thing, but I really do hate to leave Lectron looking like it's impossible to tune. I mean, it may take a whole pile of cash and aggravation, but it has to be possible. I'm considering getting an EGT along with a new piston and related parts. The Stage6 EGT looks like it comes with a really long probe now. Anyone tried that or know where to get the short probe version? What sucks more than anything is that I just want to ride. It's summer. Take it to the beach. Dust a few rentals. Get the wheel in the air a little... I haven't been on my scoots for over a month till today, and that lasts no time before I'm down again. This is inhumane.

I feel your pain. I wasn’t down as long as you have been. Still summer rolled around and I rolled to a stop. I’m back up again now. It’s rough mentally knowing the weather is nice and you’re stuck behind a windshield. Is the Yamahammer any closer to fixed?

My Stage6 gauge uses the K type thermocouple so any replacement should work. I’d probably stay away from the ebay cheapies though. We feel your pain with the carb saga. Got to give you credit for determination to get it right.

Is the Yamahammer any closer to fixed? Haven't touched it yet. I've got something else that I got myself into that hasn't worked out well and is eating time. Story of my life. lol

I was looking around and MaxiScoot is the only place that I see a C piston, or B at that rate. ~$155. Same place I had to get it last time, but it's a ridiculous price thanks to $40 shipping. They carry a S6 EGT, but the one with the long probe that I don't want. I found the one with the short probe at Scooter Center. Between the 2 I'd pay $60 shipping and about $365 for a piston and EGT. Might as well call it $400 by the time I get gaskets and a new pin bearing. Basically $200 to get the TPR repaired.
ScooterTuning only seems to carry A pistons and no EGTs. I really want T2 together again ASAP before I'm sitting around complaining about summer being gone... but this is getting nuts. Part of me wants to just let is sit there and rust, purely because it's too much. $400 in pistons and gaskets just trying to tune the Lectron... so far.

I don't wanna go with a pad. The sensor should be near center in the pipe for best results as I understand it. I was also hoping to get an all in one kit, because we see how my luck goes. I will find the out of spec sensor that reads 300F low and melt another piston while thinking it's in a great state of tune.
