you just need a vintage scoot to atract women not girls
i dont know how many times i ran into women on olive i would pull over on the side of the road just for a quick break on a long ride and women would stop to make sure i didnt need any thing

OK, so you'll know why when a Stella build thread pops up here.

One thing I forgot to put in here. I still haven't rode at night since the new stator. I did ride around dusk. I can say the headlight looks plenty bright reflecting off of things when riding at high RPM, but I didn't need it to see. What disturbed me is that my tail light wasn't even on at idle. So anytime I let out of the gas I'd be invisible at night if not braking (12V from batt powers the brake lights). The headlight is incredibly dimly lit at that point, so perhaps it's just that my LED tail wants more voltage to come on at all. Looked like I had to hit 4000RPM + to have a tail light.

with that in mind m8 it may be worth rewiring it so all the coils from the stator (except the primary) goes to charge & run the lights off the battery?
and maybe fit a bigger battery? you could also fit an led tail light? they take next to no power to light up

Oh, I dunno. I don't feel much like wiring ATM... or ever. lol Might have to see how it does for sure at night to decide if it's worth the effort. I'd rather be sure the headlight is OK before I do much rearranging. Also, not sure how well the cops would like me stopped with almost no headlight on. Looks really dim in the day, maybe it wouldn't look as bad at night? Dunno if that really matters though. It's so loud I'd never take it to any town other than mine for fear of trouble with cops.
It's got an LED tail/brake and LED turn signals. LED "night light" as Vento calls it... the 194 bulb inside the headlight housing. Also has a larger battery than stock. Biggest that fit the battery compartment.

LED's are far more voltage sensitive than incandescent bulbs, they either work, or don't with very little in-between. It might be worth swapping in an incandescent bulb regardless of the extra load on the system for safety reasons, as at least it'll light up, albeit dimly.
Or, I suppose you could rig the rear light to be powered by the battery? Worth looking in to anyway.

I guess it really wouldn't be that hard to just tap it in so the tail comes on with the key. Don't really wanna ditch the LED setup.

Can you do what, or something like Reign did and run everything directly off the battery?

Also has a larger battery than stock. Biggest that fit the battery compartment. i managed to shoehorn a 14ah battery off my rc51 into the battery box on my speedfight by ditching the flat battery cover and using a spare bulbous raised cover off a baotian qt9. had to extend the + lead a little but it's a lot more cranking power. considering wiring the lights direct on mine too for the same reason. just dont fancy being sat at some lights and getting rear ended cos a geriatric cager doesnt see my tail lamp. have you considered running a 6v regulator just for the lights & using 6v bulbs? would be easy to wire in i'd imagine? just break into the existing 12v lighting circuit and put the 6v reg inline...
