Heh! Good ol' Metallica
Back in the day I was sitting in a Jack In The Box drive-thru cranking Fade To Black and the manager came out to tell me to turn it down because they couldn't hear the orders. I heard him but instead I yelled "WHAT?" and then I rolled up my windows. They prolly spit in my food but I was kinda hammered so it doesn't matter. ;D A buddy of mine turned me on to King's X years ago. I like 'em. They're solid. Good band!

Hey Kings X, I haven't heard anything from them in a long time. I was into them when they first came out, but kind of lost track of them over the years.

They started out with long hair and then the went short and now they are long haired again. They've put out a steady stream of albums over the years. I guess they are struggling a bit like everyone since they're set to make an appearance at the Houston "Crawfish Festival" according to this page. (Click on news) www.kingsxrocks.com/ Kinda sad but it's better than I can do since I don't play in a band. Applause is applause and it feels good no matter where you are.

They originated in Missouri of all places! True story. My second year of college the night before a final exam i'm trying to get some sleep but someone down the hall of my dorm is rocking out and keeping me awake. So all pissed off i stormed down, banged on the door and told TY TABOR to turn it down! About 6 months later his band "The Edge" opened for Uriah Heep, morphed into King's X and the rest is history. Yup i was THAT nerd ;D Since then i have been to 5 of their shows and they never disappoint.

That's a cool story... errr uncool? ;D Just for future reference, it's a bad idea to get me started on any sort of music topic. I've posted this one in another thread on another forum I believe, but it's a great vid (with an even better song IMO). From the pics I've seen, I think 2strokd might be the lead singer. Sometimes I feel like I'm too old to be crankin' up the heavy stuff, then I watch this vid... Just a note, some vids here may have explicit lyrics. Cover your ears if you might be offended.

lol Nice video. The cowboy outfit reminded me of one of my favorite vids from school days... One bass playin' mofo... OMG I love old Primus! They were one of the best Jam bands around. They just cranked it out all night long, and always had great videos too! Here's my favorite... Too bad Les Claypool is probably better known for performing the South Park theme now that for Primus.

Here's another band full of amazing musicians... Liquid Tension Experiment (basically Dream Theater without the singer). Dream Theater is great, I just don;t like the singer and all the slow/popy stuff.

To HELL With It! I Like the fuck out of this band so why not? Brings back memories of my youth.. I'd give my hair to play guitar like Elliot Easton. He's the lefty... He talks for a while here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGkPyTKOgmw&NR=1 1979! OH YEAH!

A Perfect Circle is alright, but I like Tool better.
How about Smashing Pumpkins? I used to like them a lot, although their songs were hit or miss. Some of the songs on certain albums are little more than weird noise to me. Billy Corgan has one of those voices that I can't figure out why I listen to, but I do.
