All I'm seeing are standard belts in that size when I search.
Nice job. The scoot looks good, but it's not obvious to most that you've got a larger motor. Seems like the exhaust would be a little restrictive, but if it's going 70MPH... I guess it's not.

I was hoping Sym might shed more light on the belt issue but they either didnt want to help or just flat out didnt know much. Gates used to make a kevlar one in this size as the honda elite 125 and 150 were popular but I'm guessing there arent many of those still in service so my theory is Gates didnt see the point in continuing to produce one but I could be wrong. I'm hoping I can find someone who has a few extra still in stock. Anyway, the muffler and pipe were derestricted a long time ago and I went as far as removing the baffle. I hadnt mentioned... I checked the compression a few days ago and got 220+ psi. The starter motor occassionally has a hard time turning over when it starts on the compression stroke. But on the next try it's good to go. The Sym reps in the states may not seem all that impressive but I have to say this Taiwanese engine is the real deal.

Sometimes you can ease starting a bit with larger or better quality starter cables. Motobatts sell on eBay for decent prices and they tend to output more than the typical batteries. I've got one and have been very pleased with it's starting abilities vs standard replacements.

You can get a cleaner for those type of filters, but they are not very good in the rain
