I have ordered from scooter attack once in the past. I had no trouble with the order and was amazed at how fast it got here. IIRC it took about a week for my order to arrive (some Arreche jets) from Europe.
I wanted some scooter DVDs and they sell some that they or their parent company or whatever make. I decided to order a couple of DVDs and an issue of a scooter magazine on February 24th, 2010. I've been looking for a package to show up anytime now.
I just opened my inbox to see this in an email message from Scooter-Attack...
"Your order at Scooter-Attack is just being prepared for shipment. You'll be informed about any progress."
Then I got this a minute later...
"Your order has just been sent. You can track your order with the following number: [Paketnr]. Please allow 3-8 workdays for the parcel to be delivered, for oversea orders it may well take a bit longer."
It's now March 12, 2010. I understand delays when you order overseas, but I can't say I'm inclined to do much business with any company that takes about 2 weeks to pack and ship my order. Maybe it's a fluke. Like I said, my last order was received in half the time it took them just to pack this order.

I never feel like dealing with scooter-attack on my own, so I make Jeremy do it for me, and he only orders once a month. Not surprisingly, March 12th was the order date he told me. I'm betting that they only ship out overseas orders once or twice a month. You may have ordered those jets just a day or two before their shipping date that month.

Hmmm. Well, that sounds like more reason for me to stick with SIP if I have to order from Europe. Either that or I need a shipping schedule. I'm really not patient enough to wait this long on any regular basis. These aren't even parts, just vids and a mag and I'm getting antsy

I just saw an updated version of my receipt with shipping charges. (Another wonderful (sarcasm) thing about scooter-attack is that they won't show you shipping rates when you order.) I'll definitely be ordering elsewhere from now on or talking to Jeremy if I need something from them. Here's the rundown of the order and billing...
DVD............................$10.87 DVD............................$10.87 Magazine......................$4.72 Standard Shipping....$45.26 -------------------------------- Total...........................$71.72
Last time I paid $10 for the same shipping and the jets were in a box about 10"x5"x5" so I really didn't expect this price for what I ordered. Ouch.

Pfew. That's painful.
I would never order from ANYONE unless I knew the shipping costs before putting in my card info.

Well, last time was a reasonable charge and they are a reputable business. I do the same with McMaster-Carr, but their rates have always been $5-10. I had no idea it would be that expensive. I don't need the DVDs that bad, but it's too late now.

Here ya go. This little bit costs $45 to ship. streetbuzz looks like a really cool scooter mag... but it's all German. They've got test rides, parts reviews and installs, featured rides, racing and show coverage, and a special in this one about girls that mod their scoots (something badass about a girl checking port timing with a degree wheel). All kinds of cool stuff that I can't understand a word of. Maybe someday we'll get an English translated version. If anyone does order there, I suggest picking up an issue to see what we're missing in the States.

DVDs are the same way. If anyone considers ordering, just get 2008 Scooter Weekend. I've got that, 2007 SW, and the streetbuzz DVD. '08 SW is the best of the 3 IMO. More scooters, which is what counts since everyone speaks German so interviews are useless to me.

Oh, man! ROFLMAO, if I dressed like that while working on my scoot out front, I'd either be arrested, or some biker guy's would drive up and offer to help I'm sure. ( simular to the system we use to change a flat tire ) Ha......I'd never actualy need to use the wrench myself!

That last shipping charge is way off the charts. Have you tried emailing them?

No, I just paid it. I emailed them once with a question about buying something and never got a response.
