Gemany, although I don't think they ship to the US. Need an inside in Germany like someone in the military that can ship it back via APO.

I'm trying to find it now. I saw on a link from a thread on the CSC Forums out of the UK. Now I'm having a hard time finding the link or remembering the company. I'm still looking though.

No biggie, but thanks for looking. Sounds like it would end up pretty expensive if we could get it anyway.

Yeah I remember it was a whole kit with a head, 85cc BBK and a stroker crankshaft supposedly a 96 or 100cc set-up I think. At least thats what I got out of Google Translator. I thought I had bookmarked it but I guess not.

Just readin thru and thought i would give my 2 cents, ive done 10 or 12 since the first of the summer and ive had none come back but i did have one come in bout 2 weeks ago i think it was a sunny it had the 72 kit (47mm) drive side bearing had went out. He said he put it in after it already had 5000 on it when i got it, it had round 7200. So there again ur hittin the 2000 mark. They have some 50 n 51 mm kits but havent had the chance to do one yet we have a shop runner in the works tho. If i was gonna do it i would change to a better bearing to save time but it all about the bengies .

Just read this thread for the first time.
Has anybody dumped the stock crank and put a better quality one in it. Brent says his 2 t uses the same bearings, his probably are not Chinese bearings are they?
AND, I agree with Kliff too. Back in the day when all the "experts" on scoot dog were taking the dremel out and having at their cases, then putting the top end on and riding off. I would cringe. That ain't what my daddy taught me to do. You got to clean out the particles.
CSC was mentioned above. Last I saw over there from the leaders was that the best thing to do for a 50cc was to just put 4.5 or 5 gm weights in it, maybe re-jet and open the exhaust, but not to waste your money trying to make it a 150 performer.

I just swapped in a new stock replacement crank and bearings when I installed my 50mm kit. I wanted to see if it would really destroy itself quickly if done without risking particles getting into everything. Better bearings are a better idea, but it wouldn't have let me see what I wanted to see in this case. It can be pretty amazing waht stray metal particles can do inside an engine.
My 2Ts do use the same bearing in the 90cc stock as the 50cc does stock. When I rebuild them, no, I don't use Chinese bearings.

Oh, now I know what you meant. I thought you were saying that the 2t and 4t used the same bearings.

I have never had any problems with the 80cc or the 10cc big bore kit iv put them on a lot of bikes after we put the big bore kit on them the only time they came back was to put the performance clutch kit on the scooter

:welcome2:
What else do you do when you install a 50mm or larger cylinder other than tune the carb? (larger combustion chamber head, cylinder spacing, etc...?)
There are still so many conflicting stories around. It seems like most of the folks that sell and install the 50mm+ kits have no issues, and at least 50% of the rest of us experience premature crank/bearing failures.

I thought I had updated this thread, but I see I didn't. Mine failed at 2,003 miles on a complete rebuild with a 50mm kit and a new crank. The rod bearing went.

Did that rebuild include a new oil pump and if not did you check the pump clearances?

No it did not, but I saw nothing that would lead me to believe that a lack of oiling caused my engine failure.
