I am so pumped right now!!!!! I am the proud new owner of a 2004 Kymco Super 9! I just bought this frame for $15, and I'm picking it up after 6 p.m. tonight! Wooohoooo! It's my first project and I'm going to have a blast building this thing! And that's exactly what I am calling it... "THE THING" lol! I will be spending phase one getting this thing prepped and primed for a good painting, Pulling forks and replacing bearings. I'm not going to ask anyone, but any and all donations to help but this monster will be accepted and greatly appreciated, lol! (I will pay shipping naturally ) Form follows function, if it works, I care not of the esthetics. I know I'm taking on a lot here but I think it will be fun and give me something to do. Plus It will be my first 2t scoot Wish me luck! Lol! Attachments:

I was thinking Minarelli if it will fit. I want this thing to be too fast for it's own good, lol! A rocket, that scares me to ride from being too fast.

Minarelli will fit with some modifications, but I've seen some Kymco Super 9 with MBK Nitro ( minarelli LC) cases and the mods to swap to this engine were barely visible.

I'm so stoked it's not even funny! I'm picking it up tomorrow cause of the weather here, but I have so many plans for this. The fact that it's down to the frame makes me giddy! So many possibilities! I'm really thinking a nice sanding, powder coat and chrome bath will set this thing up for show condition, right of the bat! I'm really goo goo over the chrome look, and I'm going to hit this build hard with it. ll

Not too long after this forum was started we had a member that bought a modded l/c S. Nine. Unbelievably, he was looking for advise on how to slow it down.

Just found this original ad from 2004... Guess I will have to paint this frame orange and not chrome, so I can pay tribute to the Super9! Lol! Attachments:

They run forever.. A know of a running S9 with 77,000 miles on it. Its getting a full rebuild by choice. It needs some TLC but after tearing it down i think with a little maintenance it would have gone many more miles? This one is all stock. The last person to work on it thought it would be a good idea to remove one roller weight instead of installing a lighter set. Now it has some slop in the crank bearing CVT side.
$15 is a great price! Is all of what you got pictured?

I never knew what a legend this Kymco Super9 was among racers and enthusiasts. I just saw a cool frame to start a 2T build on bought it without thinking. Just on the fact that it was a blank canvas to make a masterpiece on, lol! Yes.. The frame, forks, and shock all for $15 bucks, lol! I have to decided to name it "THING" because she will never have fairings, and the money I save from cosmetics, I am going to put all that into engine and components. I guess my first order of business will be the simple stuff. I will start my search for wheels first I guess? lol!
