There is a tree on top of my "shed in a box" scooter shed. Awaiting chain saw, pictures and damage report to follow

Oh man I am so lucky ;D The shed is pretty much a loss, but my babies survived with minor damage. That is it guys! The thing pretty much rested on the Baron's seat. Took out the mirror, and stripped the threads in the left handle/brake assembly. One of the sheds pipes took out the trunk on the other scooter, but I have a white one in storage for when I complete my plastics set. So, a new set of mirrors, and a brake handle assembly...MAN I am so lucky ;D I have requested a new shed in a box for my birthday. I still have to test ride the Baron and make sure the impact didn't make anything go bent, out of sight. Could have been so much worse. I was next door negotiating a roof for my house, and a snowblower from the neighbor guy, never heard it fall. I had planned to take her out for a photo shoot at the local memorial and got side tracked. Hugh.

After looking at the first pic, I never would have expected the damage to be so minor. Glad it wasn't worse.

So sorry for your mishap. I guess it could have been worse though. Did wind cause that?

Old tree, woodpeckers, and a windy day I might have been in there if I hadn't stopped to talk to the neighbor when I took out the garbage too. Got to talking about the snowblower, got him my old starter for his scooter, and talked about me buying the house, and fixing the roof. I have to see if I can pull the rotten remains from my garage roof and salvage the walls.....walk back over and see that. First thought was that I wasn't going to get that snowblower for $100 after all Well, then I opened the zipper to look, and it didn't look too bad. Priced the brake handle at $32 w/shipping...have had some round mirrors in my watched list for some time

Thanks Dave. It's all good. I went shopping and feel ever so much better New mirrors and brake handle on the way. Ha, I am buying this house, now I have week trees..it begins $The Money Pit$ Gotta take a pill and get some sleep now while I can get 8 in, or I won't be friendly with the people at work tommorow. I had to leave the scooters out under their covers, rain thursday, poor babies. Duct Tape can only do so much, broken and bent pipes, not so much .........hmm now I have some wood to trade.

THANK YOU shed in a box! Glad it wasnt any worse than that, and you are ok Goosey . That little shed probably saved your scooters from even more damage ;D. My father has one of those sheds and i have been pretty darn surprised over the past couple years as to how well that thing can take a beating and still do its job. Could have been much worse. Need anything else for the scoots, or you have it covered? Im sure we can help

I didn't get the Baron out yet to see how she feels ( sudden attack of yard work, and moving the shop back to the basement. ). The other didn't get any of the weight so not too worried. My only concern is that the impact may have damaged the frame. I think I may have to tear her down and get an up close inspection. Soon as I get the shed redone? We got the tree cleared and cut before work this morning, and I may get me another "shed in a box" this weekend. Figure on replacing the busted pipes from the inside. Save the shell till the other one falls apart. Not sure what to patch the tears with though. Duct tape doesn't weather well. Any thoughts?

maybe a vinyl repair kit? You could try Gorilla Tape if you can't figure anything else out.. It's like duct tape, but tougher and stickier. Might hold up to the weather, never really used it for anything like that. Could just get a cheap tarp to cover everything but the door.

If there is anything left of the shed after this *#@&! wind is done I will try the gorilla tape i think. Got home from work and the darn thing is all bent out of wack Supposed to be windy through saturday. I was hoping it could stand as is till I can get to it on my day off, I think it'll be across town by then. I will go out after the wind dies down , see if I can salvage it. But hey, the scooters are ok, right?

I picked up a 10 x 14 metal shed kit yesterday. Still won't stop a tree but it can be a nice little shop for me. Hope to have it up within a couple weeks. I got my brake lever assembly minus the assembly part today, and my mirrors came today. So after a really hectic 2 days at work I decided to go for the test ride on the Baron and set the mirrors. Took the camera along for "scoot tag" photo's ;D And trusted that the one good screw on my brake assembly would hold. It did. Now, it was really a great day for a ride, did about 30 miles, got 1 block from home, turned off of the expressway out of traffic, and the baron sputters and dies....I swear this seems like luck to me. I was out on the highway for 30 miles, and she dies a block from home, LOL. Yes I am laughing. Ok, I hit the start, and nothing. Fuse is good, battery connected, blinkers and break light are working, kicked her over once, died right away. I can't kick for long with my formerly broken heal, gets painful. I'll have to open her up and look for loose wires when I get the shop up. Any other thoughts besides a loose wire, what to look for, parts that would fail and cause the symptoms, welcome to chime in. I'll try and stay closer to home when I take out the twin.
