This is my build of a 2013 Tao Tao ATM50-A1 GY6 139QBM Chinese knock-off. I dont plan on getting too crazy with it. But, who knows? I am a complete noob when it comes to scooters, and everything I learn and apply to this scoot, is going to be from what I learn from the gracious people here on 49cc scoot  So, every bit of awesome that becomes of this ride, will be because of YOU guys/gals!!! |

i removed the luggage rack, and painted it. the color scheme is going to be black & orange. very soon i will be painting the rims to match! i just REALLY wish the welds they did were a little better... o' well, not like i know how to do any better. guess ill stop bitching, and work with what ive got, lol!  |

ok, got my mirror arms done, and put me a lil skull on the front fairing now all that is left (as far as the paint scheme goes) are the rims, and her name ;-)  |

well, i got it all installed, and it sure has made a difference! on the flats I (200lbs) am getting 45mph (verified), which I thought was great. then i sent my girl to school on my scoot, while i did the exact same mods to hers. She came home and told me she (150ibs) pegged it at 50mph!! I know these Chinometers are notorious for being off, but Ive verified that mine is dead on at 45. so, it stands to reason that 50 would be accurate as well. again though, she said it "pegged out", so theres no telling how fast she was actually going... Im sooo happy! i wouldve never thought a $637 Chinese gy6 50cc would move like ours do! I want to give a shout out to Brent (90GTvert) for all of his awesome videos, and personal notes teaching me how to tune!!! I know I was annoying as hell, but we did it! I would also like to thank ALL of you for your ideas and help! We are soooooo happy with our scoots!

btw, we started a facebook group "Corpus Christi Scooter Enthusiasts" 4 days ago, and we already have 13 members, and have a group ride set up for the 15th of this month! as far as I know, there were no scooter clubs previously in our city. so, were gonna bust this cherry WIDE OPEN! WHOOOOO!!!!!!!

Congrats on the new speed. Last time I owned a 139QMB I struggled to do 50. Everyone and their mother said they were doing 50, and I had all sorts of mods and couldn't do it. I think I had done something like 48 tucked down for a long time on a flat road. My 150ish pound friend came over so I asked him to take it down the road for me and see what it did. He was back in a minute or two, having hardly gone any distance and it went 51MPH. It's kind of a happy and sad moment all at once. My scooter did 50  ...but I can't do it.  lol |
