The vino uses the small taper Flywheel with a 12 pole stator and dc cdi I did notice the nice 12 pole stator, but I did not know about the DC CDI, Thanks for the info. I installed the new crank in the vino cases this morning, and it went in without any problems. I have decided to go back with a 50cc cylinder kit instead of a 70cc as I originally planned. The reason is because I want to keep it simple. I dont want to have to mess with the carb too much, and I want to use the auto oil injection pump that originally came on this scoot. The pump is a "fixed" style, one without a cable. I am currently looking around for a decent 50cc 12mm pin A/C cylinder kit, if anyone has any recommendations.

There is a vino manual either in the download section here or at Zuma forums can't remember which. Just bought a box of vino parts got stator and Flywheel electrical tranny and top end for 1/3 of what I paid for a stator and Flywheel off a vino a month ago. I'd buy a jet kit and go with a cast iron 70 bbk. That stock yamaha oil pump works well. You can get replacements like that with 3 interchangeable end plates so you can set oil ratio richer if you want

Can you tell me where to get them? I might be interested in the cyl, is it original/ any idea of the mileage?

The stock oil pump on the zuma/vino can be used with a sport 70cc kit with no issues. I'm currently running a stage6 sport pro mkII and a stage6 pro pipe with the stock oil injection. I see rpms as high as 11,000 on a regular basis and have had zero issues. The kit currently has a 1000 miles on it and runs as strong as the day I bolted it on.

The adjustable oil pump is made by TNT. Try searching for that. Adrenalin Pedstop do them and ship to the U.S. but are out of stock

I have been working on this scooter little by little for quite some time now. Progress is even slower than normal due to me moving most of my scooter related stuff to my friends warehouse. I never seem to have what I need at the warehouse, so I have to pick it up from the house, and take it to the warehouse on the next trip, very time consuming. I tend to run into weird problems on my projects. This time the drive pin for the oil pump gear will not go into the hole in the crankshaft. It goes in about 2mm but no further. I tried to tap it in a bit but no good. I used locking pliers to work it back out. The pin is the original Yamaha pin, and it measures 2.95mm. I got back home and found 2 other pins, they also measured 2.95mm. So I guess the pin hole in the crank is a little undersized. Amazingly I found a diamond dremel bit in my shed that measures 2.82mm, I am hoping it can be used by hand to file the hole out a bit.

After about 30 min using the dremel bit by hand, I was able to enlarge the hole enough to get the pin all the way in the hole. I installed the gear and started looking at the original oil pump. The PO went to premix at some point but left the pump connected, and turning. I need to somehow test the pump to see if it still works correctly. I would hate to find out the hard way that it does not work.
Does anyone know of a way to test the pump?

Spin the pump while connected to an oil source and see if oil comes out? If it were running you could follow the air bleeding procedures outlined in Yamaha service manuals.

I wanted to post a picture of the stock reed cage for the Yamaha Vino. It has a different shape than the standard clone variety, and they do not seem to be interchangeable without some sort of adapter I assume. Since this build has a decent crank, and a nice 70cc BBK in it, I should probably get some carbon fiber stock and cut some new reeds out for the block. What thickness is recommended? I also wonder about the stuffer for the reed block as I am not certain I understand what they do. Most high end reed blocks come with different stuffers, so it must benefit somehow. But it just looks like a restriction to me LoL!
