I pulled the plug this morning after reading last night that a member had to go down on the jetting after installing Vforce reeds. It was wet. Real wet. Then I remembered I had left it idleing after I washed it to dry the head light lens. I think I'm going to look for a smaller pilot jet and order one if I can't get it locally. I've got a 40 in now and I'm only 1/2 turn out. Put a 100 main in and it's snappy. Plug looks good so far after a 8mi. ride.

I made a 1.5 mm spacer for my variator and added it to the1 mm. Has 6 gram sliders. The launch was improved. What I don't understand is how my revs were hitting 11,200. With 2 x 1mm spacers and the same sliders I was 10,300. I put in 6.5 rollers and that pulled the revs down to low 10's. Also the sliders have left a talc like powder on the ramps. Any ideas?

Brent, I just noticed the first of your posts from Friday am. Thanks. Funny I had started thinking about getting the belt lower on the front last night. If I would have been paying attention I'd have done it Friday. You were absolutely correct though.

The vari may be struggling to close the gap more now with the additional space. That's vari common. I find that just the right spacing often involves a compromise.

Got the Michelin Power Pure's on today and I should have done this first. The stock front Chin Shit tire was awful. It had bumps on both sides of center that caused a nasty vibration. The rear kenda wasn't much better. It feels like a different bike and my confidence is much greater. I do have a lull when the cvt shift now since spacing the variator. Tomorrow I should have an adjustable, straight grove Td and some sliders and a smaller pilot to get the rich idle down.

I agree those tires are a major improvement over stock! I am curious about the direction you mounted the front tire. Did you go by the arrows on the tire, or the direction of the tread pattern. I went by the arrows on my front tire, which makes the tread look like the tire is mounted backwards.

I did the same as you. I figured Michelin knows more than me. The front had arrows pointing for front and opposite for rear. The rear I guess was just a rear tire and only had the one arrow. I can't wait to get into some curve with these things.

I got the hoca adjustable torque driver today and installed it on one of the straight groves. It has 2 straight and one angled. Can someone explain how the grove differences affect performance. I'm currently set on the + or 45* with the other being around 33*. These are guesses.

The steeper the angle the more it resists opening, so it should keep RPM up more. Try both and you may find that one does a better job of keeping the revs steady.

I'll try them both and record what I find tomorrow. Thanks.

Something else. When I pulled off the contra base to expose the slotted part of the torque driver there was oil coating it. I used some wheel bearing grease on the new one. Should I have done something different?

I use wheel bearing grease on mine as well. Only other thing I've ever used is Malossi MRG grease.

Just wondering how that torque driver is working out. I thought about buying one. Just wasn't sure if it would be worth it.

I haven't put it back on yet. Had a head leak to work out and then found out a divorce too. I know 2strokd and Moofus are using them and happy. I'll get back at it at some point.

I came home one day from work and noticed most everything was gone. She left me the toaster but took all the food. She took the tv but left me the dvd player. She took everything out of the bathroom even the toilet paper but left me some shampoo. Thats how I figured out my first wife wanted a divorce. So hang in there dude best wishes.
