Yes that is the bearing that came in there. One side is closed the side that was facing the cover was open. I guess it didn't matter because it coukdnt really get anything in it

Think I can run it as is with 120psi and 1mm squish for now until I can get new piston and rings? What do u think about that 100cc pipe?

Moofus sent me the dimensions of that pipe. Its a very basic expansion chamber with a 6 degree difuser and 12 degree baffle cone.Thats the stuff they were using in the 60's..It oughta work well with a stock or mild ported cylinder..

I just had to start it! From all the smoke I am fairly certain its rich. The jet says 130 but doesn't look that big I have the tools to measure jet. It runs but definitely needs tuned

Ya, once I open the box I was like, poop. What do u think I can expect performance wise? Carb overkill? Pretty cool you can see the fuel being sucked in.

Thanks for the info moofus and 190 on the pipe. Get what you pay for I guess. Is it better than stock? I made a video of first start up. I don't have a tach hooked up yet but it isn't spinning fast enough to turn the axle with a 1500rpm spring and stock clutch shoe springs. Seems like it revs pretty quick will be better when tuned. As for the pipe...would I have been better off with a v8 or phonegeer? I didn't really have the money so I got what I could afford. Do you think it will keep up with my 70bbk?

The pipe has gotta be better than a muffler as it DOES have cones of decent angles and waaay more volume than a muffler. There is lots that can be done to improve it,but I dont think its worth all the work..

Brent really likes the phonegear? I know I spelled it wrong lol. That's got to be better than stock pipe I've got one I'm going to use on the wife's bike. For my race build I'm going to beg John to build me one or give/sell me dimensions lol

I'll get a pipe tech article posted soon in the performance section to help out the hands on tuners..

That would be great 190mech. I have done some reading and research over the years and found that bikes with a power jet are optimal! I have chopped some pipes and did small mods but never really built or designed on from scratch. That would be a wonderful read! Thanks guys and keep an eye on this thread as it will be on the read soon!

Could it be the gauge is off? One of mine was reading 25-35PSI low compared to another gauge i couldn't help but believe.. In my case it was pretty obvious the engine was making more compression.

It is very possible, POS HF compression tester. The needle was stuck against the face of the gauge and I had to knock it on a table to get it unstuck from face of gauge! It is very possible! I have another gauge I can use but will have to adapt it to the spark plug fitting. Great idea, duuuuhhhhhh....thanks hopefully it will make a difference.
