My RSII 70 in an a/c application runs into the low 10k rpm but stops pulling around 9800. So I think your pipe is a limiting factor. Your setup is a good streetable configuration with good broad range grunt. Yea I think thats about right....Im going to try a 1000rpm torque spring and see where that puts revs....then add roller weight accordingly....that should stop any belt slippage and maybe get a little stronger launch....other than that its about where it needs to be I think.

That seat's gonna be a butt-breaker! I'm too spoiled, I like a soft, plush and comfy seat.

haha!...yea....its no lazy-boy....but my commute is only 2 miles to work...so I guess you could say im spoiled too!! I also did a little trimming to the handlebar area...I really like the feel of this scooter like this. Also put my Velocity stack on instaed of the airbox....its louder...but such an easy swap back and forth.....depending on the way i feel that day...haha!

....1000rpm drive/contra spring installed! RPM is shifted up about 1000rpm exactly now(as expected)...so I will have to add another gram to the rollers for sure to keep revs down....but I did do another 0-50 test just to see how it compares....and I was surprised to see another 1/2 second faster!...sitting right at 9 seconds flat!

Looks good. Are you swapping jets when you swap the airbox/stack?

Where are your revs now? I had to go lighter with stronger springs.

Looks good. Are you swapping jets when you swap the airbox/stack? surprisingly jetting is exactly the same!....i tried going in both directions....but it settled in with the same jetting.

Where are your revs now? I had to go lighter with stronger springs. Revs came up on my setup 1000rpm...im hitting 10,200rpm ....so I need to go a gram heavier on my roller setup. *Tested* I added a gram...pulled the revs down....dropped another 2 tenths in the 0-50mph test!....right at 8.8 seconds....im going to ride with this setup for a bit...it cruises great and still takes off strong.

What tension springs are you using with your clutch shoes? Going tighter there might eliminate that launch bog off the line. You're a lucky dude to own one of these w/c gems. They seem to tune out easier than most 2t scoots available in the early-to-mid 2000s here in the states. Do you mind telling us where you live? Great looking scoot - like what you've done with it so far! EDIT: Just went back to the first page and see you're from FL.

Also, use that v-stack sparingly as dirty air goes all the way through a 2t.

Great looking scoot - like what you've done with it so far! EDIT: Just went back to the first page and see you're from FL. I tried the 32k springs(tightest possible) and the tightest pillow springs....all the way down to the lightest of both as well just to see where it does best.....from my testing the 19k main springs and the 9k(IIRC)pillow springs gives the best take-off without letting the variator shift before launch....anything tighter starts to launch after the shift starts....and if I lighten the roller weights the RPM stays too high in the powerband for peak power....this combo has me right at a mid 8 second 0-50mph and still allows mid 60's top end. 55mph is a comfy spot where rpms arent too high (8700-9000).... .....as for the stack... I have a filter on it (as you can see in the last pic) that was made from a UNI offroad unit. I think it does a pretty good job catching the bad stuff. I dont run without the filter. and I tested once without it which proved it isnt restrictive at all! .....had another run at 0-50mph today just testing consistency(this time with a full tank of gas)....looks to be right at 8.5-8.7 seconds...run after run....I think its about as fast as it will go with this setup. I may try a different belt next as the current one seems too short....I also was thinking of trying an over range variator to get a little more top end out of it....time to research! I am REALLY loving this scooter.
