Would be sweet to see Skeedr on the street if you can keep out of trouble.   The guy that called me a scooter ninja commented on the car show vid and said it was badass. It's not so much that I, or I think most of us, truly care about everyone's opinion... but it is nice when someone sorta gets it. Someone doesn't just see some stupid person on a stupid scooter, and instead see someone that's into the same basic thing as them just a different platform. There's no real difference in me now then when I owned my Mustang last year. If I was in the Mustang I got compliments, people wanted to talk, all that. On the scoot, I'm a joke. Thing is, I'm the same person on both. I'm still there because I love horsepower. I look forward to that show all year. |

2strokd your 60 ft times are wild. I had a Jeep cj5 we sand dragged ran 5.4 or 6.4 can't remember now in 100 yards without paddle tires but if you dropped the clutch on pavement it would twist a driveshaft every time but on the street when you hit second it would pull the front wheels and carry them till I ran out of rpm in third. Our Cobra jet Torino with a 429 513 gears spool and 31 inch slicks and a c6 would only do a 1.8 60 ft and it launched wheels up. That scoot is fast

Yeah, his fastest 60ft about matches up to my bud's 8 second 1/4 mile car. It is nuts to me to think a scooter could be side by side with that thing even for 60ft. SkeedR would prob need a 10.5W to pull that on the street though. lol I've never seen a scooter have so much trouble hooking up before. Truly badass.

I agree, I used to run a vw notchback with a 1.7-1.8 60 ft and high 7s low 8s in the 1/8. Nothing better than 123ci blasting a 350ci ect. Even better on a dumb ole' scooter! I tell my friends its quick and they just laugh..

I like VW,s man! Yours was quick! Got any vids? One of these days ide like to build one. My neighbors just got an old Bug that looks MINT! Reminds me of the one my pop had when I was a pup. By the time he was done building that thing it would do a wheelie through 1st and sneak it up again in 2nd if the fuel cell wasn't full. Lol, Dad used to say "that thing would go 0-90MPH as fast as you can shift it" I still remember seeing sky and my head bouncing off the seat  A couple years ago a good friend got a 2007 GTI and man I was impressed with that little thing! He let me drive it... All I could think was "wow, what a pocket rocket!" Thing handled like it was on rails. And with the turbo and variable valve timing it had plenty of low to mid range punch for a 2 liter engine. Nice close ratio 6 speed. Good little cars man! It had mods but mostly suspension as far as I cold tell/see. It did have an aftermarket induction and exhaust but I have no idea what else to the engine? He bought it that way and never really cared to see what was really done to it.. |

Could switch this body out for a bug body easily enough. Would that count? ::tongue:: Followed that car on the highway Saturday night. No turn signals and I can't even remember anything but running lights in the rear. Not so safe for the street, but totally badass to see driving around.
