Yesterday evening the mechanic's dog pooped by my workspace across the road as Dolly dog don't like going outside in the rain. Today found my scoot had peed all over the floor in revenge over night. On checking appears to be a cracked 2 stroke oil tank. At least with the dismantling needed I might well find out why the lights don't work and give it a tosh of paint over time

I'm already awkward, but I've found a way to take it to new heights. Earplugs.
I was sitting at a light on the TMAX. 3 or 4 teenage boys pull up beside me in a truck. I see them laughing and hear something. Look over and one of them tried to ask me something that I couldn't catch. Flipped up the dark visor and he asked again. I think he asked if that's my channel (since I have stickers on my helmet). I said yeah. Then he tried to ask something else and I couldn't make it out at all. I yelled, "I've got earplugs in dude! I can't hear sh!t!". Laughing in the truck, and still he tried to say something and I've just got a blank stare. He tried again, pointing at his phone. I think I heard "channel" again. I closed my visor and looked at the light, begging it to turn green. lol WOT as soon as it did.
If anyone actually tells me they watch my stuff, I genuinely appreciate it and find it amazing that with the amount of subs that I have I may see someone that watches IRL. So, I hope I wasn't a jerk... but I couldn't hear much of anything.

Just wait until you are deaf from noise etc even without earplugs.

Today I cleaned out the oil tank, the fresh oil poured out but the old oil was like frog spawn. Leak was due to a loose sight glass, screwed that back up and now oil tight, just got to clean the inside of the scooter tunnel up get rid of the rest.

Just wait until you are deaf from noise etc even without earplugs. Trying to move that time back a little with earplugs on that scoot. I'm probably already screwed though, aside from tools and cars and guitars, I spent too many years with very loud car stereos used liberally. I've spent my whole life around older people though, so I have had many conversations where it's clear that the other person has no idea what I said and how awkward that is. Happens daily with my father. He'll be reacting to stuff that I or someone on the TV didn't even say.

I rode over to see if an old friend was around. I have too many good friends that I haven't seen for a long time for no good reason. It was 70F and nice out on this Saturday, so I rode up to a friend's house that I haven't seen for a decade because I figured if he was free he'd be outside working on something.
Sure enough, he was in his new garage working on a Ford Ranger with a 302 swap, single 70mm turbo and Holley EFI. He took me right in and showed me everything he's been working on with it. When we used to hang out, I'd go to the track with him nearly weekly with his 428 small block Mustang that was seriously fast... 8.50s in the 1/4 last I was around and apparently low 5s in the 1/8 and likely 7 second 1/4 capable before he sold it. Now he just wants to take this truck out and drive. Not that interested in the track... even though the Ranger is lowered with double adjustable shocks all around, 8.8 rear with 31 spline axles and all that sort of stuff.
I hung out for about 4 hours. Great to see him and nice to be around v8 horsepower again. Plus, the ~30 min ride each way was as nice as weather gets for riding.

Well after a bit of chicanery and bodgery we have lights on AC circuit . Need to work out a bit more as position 1 on switch should be rear light and front side light but it's now headlight and Speedo light but not the others and position 2 is just very dim main/dip etc.

Went and checked out an old scooter I sold couple of years ago for someone and most likely immobilizer gone or carb clean if very lucky but they don't want to spend money. So it's mine at the end of the month.

So it's mine at the end of the month. Told the owner I will do the work for nothing as only a carb clean and manifold replacement as he will only need spend £24 on manifold and get a few hundred more than I offered.
