Sold my black scoot yesterday, and the red one has been gone for a while. So zero scoots now. Having all my fun on a WR250R. May be back eventually, but if get another scoot, might be a nicer and larger displacement vespa... You people are all awesome! I'll come back and visit occasionally Jack

milly, A single V-belt is only good for about 5HP continuously in an industrial setting so any max power 'test' of a new belt is liable to produce some smoke. CVT drives are much harder on a V-belt than a regular electric motor belt drive. Full throttle runs are not recommended to break in a scoot engine or a CVT. You may need to clean the CVT or even replace a ruined belt.

Checked front tyre before I go away and flat. Changed it for the spare I had ready incase and took the new tyre of the rim and cleaned up the rim and put it back on. No air leakage around valve or beading with a squirt of soapy water so will check it's pressure tomorrow and if good put it back on if feel inclined to as it's a snow and mud tyre which will help on the lanes and off road.

Sometimes pranksters let the air out of tires. And it has been know out riding with mates. They would flick the kill switch off at fill ups, or coffee stops. Then you are left wondering why your bike won't start.

Pull coil/battery wires, turn off a fuel valve, toothpick or matchstick or popsicle stick chunk in the ignition lock, silicone RTV in a lock, pebbles under a tire valve cap, stuff a potato/carrot in the tail pipe etc... So many fun things to do Just have to be careful what you do and to whom.
