Stock on mine was 79/32. I'd try screwing the a/f screw in as Dave said or very near all the way in and see what happens.

When I screw it all the way in I can get it to start but when I start to give any throttle to try and ride it dies

check float level, make sure it is not filling too high with fuel. if you can get it to start with A/F all the way in your jets are more than likely too large.

I guess tomorrow I am going to go buy an extractor set and unseal the stock carb...from there I will remove those jets and place them in my new carb!

I guess tomorrow I am going to go buy an extractor set and unseal the stock carb...from there I will remove those jets and place them in my new carb! did you by chance take the cap with the little holes in it off the forward facing tube where your airbox takes in air? or remove the snorkel inside the airbox cover?

I took off both of them.

if you have stock jetting in your carb, and stock airbox, and you took the cap off the forward facing intake tube on your airbox, that's possibly why your throttle falls flat on its face when you give it gas. mine won't even drive with that cap removed vs on. reinstalling that cap and stuff may well solve your problem. intake is a fine balance especially on a small motor. *meaning with that cap, snorkel and whatnot else off but still stock jetting, consider that maybe when you give it gas that it is not stalling from being too rich, but from being too lean.

Don't remove the cap on the air box, removing the snorkel won't affect the jets that are stock. i have done it with a lot of taotaos with no issues, that snorkel can actually cause it to run too lean with stock jets.

you could just drop the needle a slot. put the circlip up one slot to lower the needle

It's a replacement carb with larger than stock jets guys. roger that 2T. i have larger than stock jets in mine, but it i pull off that airbox cap and give it gas (running an 85 main jet), my engine cuts out lean, and it is not driveable. won't even go past 3000rpm. really it was just an attempt to explain a possible issue and find solution in a way that is doable in the short term for someone who does not have a lot of experience with carbs, and (i think) does not have any other jets other than their stock jet, and an 85(?) that came with the aftermarket, which if its running lean from derestriction with the 85 main and OP swaps that out for an even smaller jet, is only going to make it worse. just offering in an angle to cover the bases

I get ya but he's been flooding with a wet plug. The suggestion to remove the snorkel was an attempt to cure that without him having a smaller jet.

Didn't see this one coming..got the stock carb open and it has a 61 main jet and 32 pilot. That explains the flooding I guess. Going to put the jet in replacement carb now. Thanks for all the input guys. I put the plug and tube back on the air box but lot sure if I should it the snorkel back on now too. Thoughts?

I'd start with it in. Always safer to be rich as opposed to lean.
