Hello all, Completed another bit of work on my TGB 202 Classic as I continue to tidy it up and hopefully improve it's running. Following Saturdays carb cleaning session, I have now removed and replaced the spark plug. The old one looked OK to me. I read somewhere that a brown colour at the end was good, so I'm assuming this part of the bike is running well. Put a new plug in anyway as I had one ready. The old plug is pictured below: Also removed the fuel filter, which I think you can see from the picture below must have been on the point of disintegration. Replaced it with an identical model and also fitted a new length of tube from the filter to the carb (although all the existing tubes look OK to me). Fuel did not start to run into the filter, I presume this happens when the engine is started Finally a (hopefully last) carb question. Near the bottom of the carb is a bit sticking out that looks like it should have a hose attached to it, but doesn't, and didn't when I removed it (see picture below). Is this normal ?? Thanks as always for your thoughts, learning lots !

The bit and the bottom of the carb is the drain. There should be a screw pretty near too to open it up.
You can plug a hose to it, but since its closed all the time there is no point to it.

Thanks, that's a bit of a relief.

The color on the plug looks good and safe and if you have a vacuum fuel petcock it will not allow fuel to flow until the engine is cranked over as long as it's functioning properly.
