I don't know how else to describe the sound. It seems to crackle more at part throttle. I originally thought it was rich but no bog or hesitation. Maybe the timing is advanced a bit much? The plug is new but here's the one with a couple hundred miles on it.

I gonna give this a shot, but i could be way wrong. The threads are wet a little to high on the plugs, shoulb be about 2 threads dry, and you seem to only have 1. Base of the ceramic is whiter then the tip.
Those 2 fact should mean a bit rich.
Please wait on someone with more knowledge to confirm this, or to hit me with a brick.

Lol! Sorry Dave's not here man. I guess to be clear it's a tuning type crackle not the pipe crackling from heat as they sometimes do after a run and when new.

I don't like mine if they don't crackle or sputter a bit at part throttle. Usually means there's plenty of fuel and the 2Ts can run just fine with that going on. If it's a sharp crackle... kinda tinny... it could be detonation/spark knock from too low fuel octane, too much compression, too little fuel, or overheating. If that's the case, it should do it really bad when you back off of the throttle a bit after it's got some heat in it and you may start to see peppering on the porcelain.

No peppering and it seems to do it more before it gets warmed up. I originally tuned it that way with it being on the rich side. Like you said I wanted to know it was getting plenty of fuel. I just got nervous with the timing advanced Like I have it. I'm not sure I don't have an issue with the plug wire. The connector inside the boot came off on the plug when I pulled it the other day. I screwed it back in but it was cutting out on me yesterday. I ordered a Bando coil and wire, cleaned the carb and relocated the engine ground that wasn't getting good contact on my newly painted and cleared cvt cover. It's raining so I don't know if it's fixed or not but the coil and wire will be here tomorrow with more rain. I may have to suit and helmet up just so I know.
