So I've been putting off unsealing my carb, well stupid me ran out of gas the other day upon realizing I was out of gas I also realized my gas gauge stopped working good start to the day.
Well running out of gas caused my carb to get a wonderful gift of garbage in it so I unsealed it pulled the jets cleaned them and noticed my main jet is a 78? I assumed it was at least In the 80's I've got an 80cc BBK on my bike stock other than that. But the bike ran fine on it or so I thought.
After cleaning the carb it's like my bike was sleeping before, I just thought it was a new beast well now I've unleashed Godzilla it's insane the difference but now if I let out of the gas it tries dying and if I stop it does die I'm assuming my idle screw needs some adjustment but is my main way too small?

Welcome to the wonderfull world of carb tuning
How a carb works
At 78 with a 80cc BBK, you're running lean. 90 would be a good place to start.

Running a 78 main on my bbk 47mm no issues , & 80 on my other bbk's stock airboxes. On all.

Canadian air is denser.
Was running a 90 on my 139 qmb BBK but with open air filter.

I just don't get why it was fine before I cleaned it and now I have problems, I also noticed from a stop and when I let out of the throttle and get back in it it gurgles for a little while then blasts off like a rocket, once it's going sounds fine and runs perfect.

When you cleaned it, all those little passages/holes/tubes in the carb got all nice and cleaned making them more efficient, and throwing the carb out of tune.
its just like your carb just got cured from a bad cold.

Darn dense Canadian air! It's the acid rain we send them....changes things a bit

You can also play with the needle clip settings for top end fuel

Ok played with the air fuel mixture with no avail it didn't matter where I put it the scooter won't idle I also noticed at about1/8 throttle or a little more the motor gurgles.

And anything above that amount of throttle the bike runs fine.

I'm starting to think that your idle circuit still has some crud in it. Maybe cleaning the carb again might do the trick now that you can remove the idle mix screw and spray in there as well. those idle jets have a very tiny hole in them. Doesn't take much to plug one up.
