Hi guys i my scoot seems to pull perfectly at half throttle but anything over that something slips and the engine starts to sound like a car being put off the limiter. I need a new belt and weights but apparently the clutch could be the problem ? In which case anyone know of a cheap clutch to fit a 1997 Yamaha Zuma (bug eye model)

I would wait for the belt. Clean and inspect the CVT before installing. Then see if it still happens afterward. You said in another thread that your belt was way under the normal width, and that can cause this issue as well.

Okay thanks.. Any tips on how to get the bell housing off ? I have nothing other than an adjustable spanner which doesn't do the trick unfortunately

You'll need to hold the rear brake... tie a bungee cord or zip tie around it. That should help hold the bell still while you try to get the nut off. I think most that don't use an impact use a breaker bar and socket. Since you have neither, maybe a pipe on the adjustable wrench could work to give you more leverage? Sounds tricky to keep it in place though. If you do put money into a tool, go for an impact vs a breaker bar. Works well for so many other jobs.

yea it goes to spinning and not moving, usually, its because when i do it, i get some grease in my clutch bell. usually when i drain my gear oil in hte back by laying my bike sideways. itll drip into there, then im hunting an impact
