ended up finding this guy with a junkyard full of scooters, picked the newest scooter took the full intake off and he only charged me 10
then i adjusted the valves and now it running a whole lot better

also quick question i bought a new battery this week, i was wondering if i could leave it unplugged from the scooter and stotred away, would it drain the battery?

your carb may have a copper plug on your air mixture screw not allowing you to adjust it. what mods (ie intake,bore kit) if any are on the scooter? sounds like your problem may be in the carb or valves, but it could also be any number of things... throttle position, leaking vaccum lines, etc. will it idle for a long time without dieing? does it idle smoothly? im no master mechanic, but i did a lot of top end work on my scooter already. i would def change the gas. premium only (90 octane or higer for the 4stroke engines. make sure all hoses and lines are properly routed.
