Hello all,
I've been riding a 2014 FX Zuma we recently purchased. We bought it used and it's now less than 7 months (only 140 miles on it at this point). I'm having battery trouble with it. Twice it has now stranded me when the temperature drops below 32 deg. farenheit (or 0 degrees Celcius). Is it normal for these scooters to have trouble in the cold? What's Yamaha warranty on the battery? Any recommendations? Thanks!

Have the battery checked with a hydrometer if you can open it. The big auto parts stores can also load and capacity test it for you.
If it's 3 years or older, I'd replace it.

I agree with Humanshield. Also the colder it gets the harder it is on the battery these are small batteries we are dealing with and don't really handle the cold too well.

A new battery can be had at Walmart for $25-$40 depending on the size. If you buy one there just take your old battery in with you so you/they can match it up and also take the $12 core charge off then and there.
