I have a taotao 49cc scooter it will start and ideal but when i give it gas it dies out any ideas on how to fix

Possibly too much air flow? Have you tried adjusting the screw on the carb? Could maybe be not enough gas.

you removed anything from your airbox, or modified your air intake at all? if you removed the cap off the intake snorkel, or the smaller snorkel inside the airbox, etc, that would cause it to have too much air for the stock jetting. try reinstalling that stuff if that is the case and see if that fixes it. also if you went to a carb mounted pod filter and removed the entire airbox, that will cause you to need to rejet, i dont think it would even run without rejetting.

As said, if you've modified/removed anything from the airbox then put it back and see how it does. If it's a "clean" or smooth sounding bog out it's more likely too much air or too little fuel. If you have a sputter as it dies you may have too much fuel being delivered for some reason.

It's hard to diagnose an issue when there is no back story given...
I'm thinking he's got a scooter that sat for a long time with bad gas and a gunked up carburetor.
A tight valve can cause the same symptom.
