On the bottom of the rear gear box, it looks like some kind of vacuum port. It's a plastic/nylon fitting that has a hose nipple on it. I don't see this in the factory service manual, and it's not connected to anything, nor is it leaking anything out of it.

That's where gear oil should overflow if you add too much.

That's where gear oil should overflow if you add too much. Ahh.. So does it just drip out of too much is in there? Is there supposed to be a tube going to something or just dripping to the ground? I've been more concentrated on getting everything running right and haven't really worried about cleaning everything up. Sorry for the dirty bottom tranny! Gotta get that cleaned up!

No worries. My scoots are always dirty.
Sometimes they have a hose attached. Ideally it would be routed so that in the event of an overflow/spill slick gear oil would not go on the tire.

All of mine are just open. I don't really think they should gush fluid out at any point.
