you could move up to a CR8HS for a cooler plug, might help with temps since you have a BBK.

Yeah It's not a bad idea to move up a heat range.
too hot a plug and well you seize too cold a plug and the spark plug gets fouled.
BBK should produce more heat so a CR8HS seems like a good bet to make. I switched mine from a 7 to an 8 when I did my BBK

CR8HS is what I settled on with my BBK since I used the stock head my compression was a bit higher and the plug seemed to run way hot. I suppose just try both and see what works best for you...since we all live at different elevation and in different environments.

OK so I called all the big parts places in town today looking for a NGK CR8HS plug .they told me they don't have them.I ask if they could order me one.they say no.? So I was thinking.there's a small place that fixs/sells lonemorers. Sorry about the spelling so I go there they don't have it in stock but said they could order it and it would be here in 2 days.cool I paved for it.they tell me they don't make that plug anymore? The one they have now is a CR8HSA.she looked it up and that's what it calls for .so is this plug the right one for a bbk?thanks guys.sorry about this bing so long.

I found the same thing. Went to O'Reilly auto and they ordered me one, picked it up next day in the morning highly recommend!
as far as the CR8HSA goes, on the code symbols thing for NGK it states "A" for firing end side as: "A Special Design"
Does it look any different than what you have? Sounds like maybe you got a mower plug or something...
BR8HS should look identical to BR7HS

Most Honda bike shops should have the CR plugs in stock, small TRX and ATC series bikes use them.

Alot of auto parts stores have no clue if asking for a cr7hs etc. But if you find the ngk stock # thats on the box they usually have it on the shelf. (Unless you actually have someone with knowledge working the counter ) i even give the ngk stock # to my local pep boys/advanced auto & they still ask what kind of car its for.

All the big name auto parts stores don't carry the "8" heat range plugs because its too specialty for application, i.e. "racing engines" lol
at least thats what I was told
