I cleaned up the Leo Vince pipe I was planning to use on the Keyway Fact and noticed the flange is warped out of shape. ? is there a way to get it straightened without welding? Haven't tried yet but if it leaks I might be screwed.

How warped is it? You may get away with using a thick exhaust gasket material. If you have a vise, you may be able to pound it back. Just era the pipe in a rag, so the vice doesn't eat it up. Clamp it down with the flange resting on the top of the vice. Carefully use a hammer to flatten it out. If its too bad, a cut and weld might be the only fix.

I thought of heating with a torch then clamping it in a vise. The ears of the flang are bent in towards the cylinder. I think someone tried mounting it and had trouble getting it to fit.

Mine is also warped. It seems that they don't fit flush to an opposing face...... so they naturally bend inwards. If you bend them back to square, while there is no flush fit..... they'll likely bend again. My exhaust doesn't 'blow', so I've left the flange as it is..... why not?

Don't want my scooter to 'blow'.
