Hi guys I started to put bbk on got as far as putting the can on.how would it run if I'm a tooth off? Will it run?+ I had to hold the fan side to keep it on the T mark.because it wouldn't stay on the mark on its own it fells like its on a compression stock.ye s I took the plug out when I first stared.thanks in advance.

Waly, you really want to get that right. One tooth off is about 10 degrees and it'll either run sluggish or too hot.
Try to get that dead on. Take your time. It's important.

Yeah it'lll run but not well.Check your T mark for accuracy with old pencil in the plug hole trick.When its ar exactly TDC if you rock the flywheel just slightly ccw the pencil will go down same with cw.Determining that tells you the marks correct it is Chinese you know.Then get it dead on the T and the take two wood wedges and "lock" the flywheel your probably or the weight of the chain is moving it,Then line up your sprocket holes and snug it up

Since its pretty much opened up, you could remove the head to have a nice view of where you top dead center is

Remember to have chain taught on lower side , when setting cam , , if not it will be a tooth off, after tensioner pushes down from the top.
