Are there any other things I would have to do if I got an aftermarket exhaust?

I see some exhauSts that look like a trombone sort of. Lol that's the only way I can describe it. Like the exhaustexhaust pipe loops back around

I'm no expert in this area, but from what little I think I know, the stock mufflers provide a certain amount of "back pressure" required to keep the engine running correctly. That same back pressure can inhibit the flow of expanding gases when installing a BBK, reducing the efficiency of the build. That being said, an open-style air intake (a pod like mine or a UNI) and a bigger carburetor paired with a free flowing exhaust, all help the engine run more efficiently and "breathe" better (especially with BBK's). Like Elektrey said, possibly different jet. Even then, it may not run like it COULD with a bigger carburetor or open style air filter. I have no clue what I'm talking about though. I'm still learning things myself. Best teacher is experience. If you decide to get it, install it, see how it works, post results and get some help if it doesn't run right.

Naraku, and maybe others, make pipes that mimic a two-stroke expansion chamber sort of like what Availien posted. They have quite a small header from the pics I've seen. I know that at least one member bought one and reported disappointment. IIRC he said it performed worse with that pipe.
