I put on a new carburetor and did the pdi running I read in the tech section with the mixture screw on the side and the idle screw on the top. It idles perfect but when I get going it keeps hesitating and it doesn't go as fast as it did before the old carb was removed (lost the diaphragm needle clip) any ideas as to why. It only goes about 4-5 mph slower but that's a big difference. Especially going g down hills, if I let off the throttle going down fast and then turn the throttle to keep going it like throws me forward

Try swapping the main jet from the old carb to the new one.

When you let off the gas your clutch is disingaugeing.slowing down.then when you get on the gas again its speeding back up to catch the belt that's way its throwing you for word.

So I swapped the main jets and it runs fine now. But they were both size 91. Neither were clogged but the older one works better... These scooters beat all I've ever seen lol

These China carburetors can be finicky. I used to do repair work and I had a milk crate full of old carbs that were seemingly good. Everything looked great on them. They were clean and shiny but they refused to work properly.
Many times I would get an old scooter in that needed some love and the thing would run like crap. Clean the carb. and still runs like crap. Clean it again really good. still crap. Try new CDI, coil, spark plug, check valves, try another stator, still runs like crap. Finally I decide to install a new carb and it runs perfect. Toward the end I always kept a known good 50 and 150 carb in stock for testing purposes.
I remember another scooter that ran like crap after all of the above. I was at my wits end when the idea came to try a different spark plug boot. Ran great. You just never know what the issue is until you eliminate suspects one by one.
