My wife and I decided to go on a scooter ride today. Her on the Vino, and Me on the Bumblebee. Prior to the ride, I installed some new 8 gram sliders I just received the other day. Figured the ride would be a good chance to test them out.
We were out riding for maybe an hour and everything was working perfect. We're headed back home, about a mile from our house, when I start to slow down at a red light. Once I stop, I notice that my RPM's are right at 3000 at idle. I've always had it at 2000.
I've not checked yet, but could I have a slider that's stuck or flipped? I've not experienced this before and I didn't feel it pulling like I would have thought. I'm letting it sit for a bit to cool down first, then I'll try to start it back up and see what it does.
Gonna check and make sure the throttle cable didn't somehow bind up.
Any suggestions?

If anything, I'd expect a slider out of place to lower idle because it could keep the CVT engaged even at idle speeds. It should be very sluggish to get it going in that case as well.
Check for anything loose that could be an air leak like the carb not seating or a hose or a cracked intake.

Check for anything loose that could be an air leak like the carb not seating or a hose or a cracked intake. Found it. There is a small rubber sleeve type piece that is on the throttle cable at the carb side. It came loose and slid up the throttle cable a hair to bind it up. Time to remove that unneeded piece! I'm sure it has it's purpose of keeping dirt and debris out of the throttle cable, but don't want that happening again! Actually caused my wife and I to come home a little earlier.. I was taking the long way home...

At least it didn't hang WOT or something. OMG! I never even though about that. Another reason to remove that rubber thing! Thanks Brent!
