For over a month now, I've been trying to wrap my head around what is wrong. We'll start with a little history.
After years of having a modded 2007 Kymco Super 9 ac working great, I was riding home one night. I came to a RR crossing and slowed down while going over the tracks. I then began to accelerate and around 30MPH it just died. It had acted as though the kill switch had been hit or I had blown piston ring.
While switching out the BBK or a new one, I noticed that the rings were fine but there was some scoring on the piston and block. So new engine problem fixed.....wrong. Wouldn't start. Checked the plug and nothing, no spark...Okay, I then changed the ignition coil, rectifier and Stator. I now have spark and the plug is getting wet, but it just won't start/run. I've tested it with both the stock CDI and a No-Rev Limit Performance CDI. Same results with either Electric or Kick start....sounds like it wants to, but won't
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated, Thank You.

Did you change the $2 sparkplug?

WELCOME!!! Could be a compression/air leak issue. Have you checked your compression? Most scoots won't even start with compression below 100 psi..

Did you try to bypass the kill switch? You said nothing about the CDI. Did you check for any loose connection everywhere? Is there a kill switch on your kick stand?

Plug sparks but wet , possible bad plug under load? Air filter clogged? Enough compression to fire (per Niz76) just tossing ideas out there.

Always using NGK Iridium Plug, no kill on kickstand....checked all connections and yes, including the CDI (Both as mentioned on original post). Compression might be the case...haven't had time to check. Thanks for the ideas...hopefully will get some time to work on it this weekend, will let you know.

Check your crank seals. I had the same thing happen to me. I pulled the variator off and the crank seal was hanging on the crankshaft.

Turns out my friend that was assisting me (teaching him how to do things) had the head gasket on upside down....blocking ports....should have known...thanks for your suggestions though.

Same bike and similar mods. I'm like WTF!? Mine ran for 8-10 seconds last week but only after a new battery and ALOT of kick starting. Hasn't ran since. I'm on month 3 now :\ I have 160psi compression, New plug, wire/coil, CDI, Carb, Rectifier, timing pickup, and battery.
