I'm guessing this is the "PAIR" thing. It has one house that goes to the gas tank (venting maybe?) And one hose that goes to the intake manifold.. There's like a "T" splitter in between the intake manifold and the black canister thing.. A third hose that goes to the airbox. I have traced all the hoses coming off this in red. I should be able to completely get rid of all that right? My TaoTao didn't have a set up like that

Also what is this . there's 2 bolts on the bottom but it doesn't seem to mount to anything That's the starter relay. Those bolts are posts or terminals. One side should go to the + battery terminal, the other should go to the + connection of the starter. Definitely don't go bolting it to the frame once the + battery cables are connected. It should also have a connector and hopefully you'll find one that matches up. Whoa wtf happened in this carb. Is that from sitting for years? It's like tar or something Looks like it sat for a long time with fuel in it. First one is an emissions system, but not PAIR.

That canister is for tank venting like you suspected. You can remove it and just leave the tank vent tube open to the air if you want. Whenever I remove that thing I always leave the tube on the tank vent connected and zip tie it to the frame so it's pointing downward so water won't get into the tank. You will have to do away with that Tee fitting and just run a single vac line to the petcock. Carbs that bad will many times come back to life with some serious cleaning. That scooter looks like it's in pretty decent shape. Did it have the title? It doesn't matter which side goes to the starter on the relay. You can connect the wires either way and it will work.

No it didn't have a title. Here in Virginia you do need a title to register so I will have to figure out something. But I bought a new carb for it. Now I just need a battery and a cdi

I'm guessing someone didn't get rid of it when it was replaced or it's a randomly placed spare?

Could be a lefthanded relay/solenoid for scoots imported to the UK.The driver operates their cars from the passenger side so switch must be on his left.

Cool deal! Quick flip with some money in the pocket feels good. Too bad they aren't all as fast and simple as that one. So now that you have some extra money I expect you to retire the Ninja suit.
