You can rip it all of. You need 1 hose from the valve cover for fume and pressure to exit. You need a block off plate for the emission head cover.
Get some popcorn.

renagade281 , I removed it from my Jonway about 6 months ago, no issues, in fact after removing it it felt like it gave it extra power.

That first pic shows what looks like an oil catch. The clear tube slowly fills up with the watery oily crud that spews out of the crank vent hose. You are supposed to pull the plug to drain it periodically. Water vapor condenses inside the engine and it has to go somewhere. There is some debate as to what to do with the crankcase vent hose. The way they have it set up by the factory usually reroutes the oily watery crap back through the air box/carb where it can and will gum up the works. Myself, I always replace the hose with a long piece of fuel line and run it all the way up the frame near the gas tank and then down and out the rear splash guard on the inside where you can't see it. The uphill climb keeps the oil in the engine but still allows the pressure and water vapor to escape. This also keeps your intake/carb cleaner which means a more reliable and consistent running engine.

I agree Dave. I did the same thing to mine after reading a post here by someone, (maybe you?) and I added a fuel filter to the end of that line to keep crap from getting in...as was suggested. I replaced that line with my see-through fuel line tubing and I have to say that I do not see any evidence of oil in that tubing anywhere. I did make it long and mounted it up high just in case.

As long as your rings hold out then the pressure isn't going to get very high so you shouldn't see any oil in the tube or at most a little bit down near the valve cover when the engine is running.

I did not see any oil residue in my crankcase vent either which is why I just routed it back to the air filter cover. It can keep my K&N style filter oiled if it ever sprays out any oil.
The only manifold vacuum line needed is the one to your vacuum operated petcock or to the vacuum operated fuel pump if your fuel tank is below the carb. Some carbs require a manifold vacuum line to the deceleration valve but some carbs use an internal passage for that function.

Hey fox, NICE footpegs in the pic you posted, where did they come from? I like the sport style alum. pegs, folding design and the little heel gaurd also! Those type come standard on the Handsome Boy (Hockey Mask) type scooters. I am not sure how well they would adapt to another type of scooter cause they have a little hole in them for a spring and a ball bearing that holds them in the upright position. The little peg mount bracket on the frame has a lip/hump the ball bearing has to ride up and over so you hear a little click sound when you move the peg up or down. You would have to have the brackets too and weld them to your frame I guess if you want them to fold away. $11 + shipping for the pair here: www.partsforchinesescooters.com/2/Back_Pegs_for_Scooter_-1826.html
