So I decided to make a write up for my recent build to document the progress and have a home base for all the related info ie. pics, vids, trials and tribulations.
ENJOY!

This scoot originally started off as a bright pink Italian style "GS MOTORSPORTS Big Chief" After months of searching for a decent project scoot with a title I found this beast on craigslist: The scooter was originally listed for $400 with a clean title. After a bit of negotiation I was able to load her up for $260. The main negotiation points were that: 1. The scooter was bright pink. 2. It did not run. 3. It had been partially run down by a car in a parking lot and there were a few other small issues I used to bargain.

After I got the scoot back home to the laboratory I was able to determine the reason it wouldnt run was the diaphragm inside the carb was ripped so it was unable to create vacuum and pull the slide up. thats why I could only get it to idle.
So after picking up a brand new carb at the local shop for $40 I was able to get it running. Step 2: PAINT IT BLACK! lol

So I got an initial paint job done real quick with some plasti dip, Then it was time to throw a slip on... I got a real good deal on this Leo Vince SBK from a friend: It was just the muffler at first but a little MIG magic got it looking like a store bought mod...

Wait, you can't paint it black...you have a title for it. Only stolen scoots without a title are painted black...ha ha.
Nice job on the negotiating, that was a great price I think.

Bill Exactly ^^^ I have a black Zuma I think I'm going to paint white just because of that stereotype. Looking forward to the build.

So after I got the slip on I went on a trip getting everything running the way I wanted it...
up jet the carb, raise clip position, custom air intake, shave the variator down, re shape the faces just a bit, heavier contra spring, heavier clutch springs, orange cdi box, orange coil, iridium spark plug, vented cvt cover, custom air scoop, ect ect.
also during this period of time I worked alot on cleaning up details like making the horn work, brake pads, new grips, new throttle cable ect.

lol in the pic above I was still into the mini hayabusa look but that huge seat was killing me looks wise. So I took off all of the foam then sprayed foam insulation onto the plastic. After a while the foam swells up to huge bubbles and from that point I just had to shave it to a nice shape with a hack saw blade. I was waiting to re upholster the seat so thats why it has a green shirt pulled over it in the pic. just to keep the foam from falling apart..

so at this point a bit of time had passed with the successful hayabusa look and I was starting to itch for something more my style... so the rough drafting started.
