so this lady brought her 200cc Kymco scooter to me said it needed a valve adjustment and she wanted the oil changed... i said ok...so i adjusted the valves then proceeded to let it warm up and adjust the mixture screw and idle screw... well it would idle and kept making a popping sound.. upon further inspection i noticed her intake manifold was cracked. When i jiggled it around a little bit i noticed this... So i called her and told her what i found. I told her i might be able to use the one off of my 150cc and that i would just charge her the price of a new one because i will have to buy one for my scooter... but the one from my 150cc wouldnt work because the bottom wasnt long enough so i got some of this bad stuff right here and did this.. She runs like a charm now. anyone who has used this QBond stuff knows it hardens like concrete and it cannot be broken. so needless to say it runs perfect now

Baking soda and CA glue sets up like concrete also and is really cheap. It seems to be fuel proof also. I used it to secure some of the port tubes in my custom carb.

I am curious how long that's gonna hold. That intake boot has to support the carburetor and every time you hit a bump it takes a shock and it's also going to go through many heating and cooling cycles. Maybe it will last for a long time but my gut tells me it's gonna crack again eventually. I looked online and Kymco parts dealers want $27-$35 + shipping so I understand why you fixed it.

that stuff lasts literally like forever.. its not like bondo or anythings.. it hardens like a cast that you get on a broken bone but only harder..

I guess she will be calling me if it breaks.
