youtu.be/THq7Ok8T3Y4Someone tell me if its supposed to sound like that. It won't start. He said the cdi was bad and battery was dead. I put new battery and my old csi from the 150 on it and it still won't start. I've never messed with a scooter with a bbk so I don't know if that sounds correct or not Edit.. I just did a compression test.... It has no compression. I guess I got screwed.. man im so pissed... i guess i could buy another BBK and install it and it would fix the problem? or is there another way to fix it?>

It's cracking over too slow. If you do a compression test with that e-start, do not trust it. Check the charge on the battery and try kick starting as well. Check for spark.

Check for spark. the battery had jumpbox hooked to it when I did that video. It starts my other scooter just fine. Maybe I will change the plug wire. The plug is brand new. Still has the silver tip

Check things before you go swapping parts out. Hard to believe it has no compression struggling to crank with a jump box attached. With no compression they'll usually spin over very quickly.

So what should I check for?

Well you mentioned changing the spark plug wire. Before that I'd see if I had a good spark. If you have a good spark, I don't see the reason to go switching out ignition components. At this point I'd want to figure out why it cranks so slow if it's registering no compression. First on that list for me would be to redo the comp test. Make sure the throttle is wide open, the tester is sealing, and that the engine is cranking over more quickly that it is in that video.

Ok I re tested it and its showing a little above 90 for compression. So now I guess it's just trying to figure out why it's not getting spark. The guy said it needed a new spark plug wire so I'm gonna check that

Before you go and change that tire, ho about a little smoke show?

Did you remove the dead battery and then hook the crank box to it or did you leave the dead battery in the equation?
Whenever I jump a scooter I disconnect the red wire(s) from the dead battery and hook red clamp to both of the red wire(s) and the black lead I hook to the exhaust or a solid engine point. That removes the dead battery drain so you have full voltage to just the starter.
Sometimes an engine is tight from sitting and after running it some it will loosen up. Other times the starter motor itself is going bad and the only fix is a new starter motor.
Have you looked in the belt cover? Could be something wrong in there.

i just drove it for the first time... had to put a new carb on it (the diaphragm needle was bent) i just put the main jet and pilot jet from the bad crab in the good carb... first time ever riding a scoot with a 100cc BBK on it and i must say.. thats a huge different ... i was shocked.. those springs and clutch and rollers make a difference
