I thought I've seen a how-to for changing over your turn signals to led's but can't find it. It may have been somewhere else, but if there is one, can someone direct me to the thread for it?
I've got an idea for a mod on my scooter that will include changing over to LED turn signals and completely replacing my original turn signals. Kind of like the guys do with the Honda Ruckus' with the pod type turn signals.. I'll be actually cutting most of the plastic off the back rear under the taillight which will include where the existing turn signals are mounted. I'm also changing the fronts..
I'm guessing all I'll need to do is get the LED turn signals and a led flasher relay. Anything else I'll need to do wiring/power wise?
Is there a LED flasher relay that dings or clicks to remind me to turn the turn signal off?

I've got the orange Naraku 3pin flasher relay on my kymco. It's pretty loud, I can hear it over my exhaust at wot. All I swapped was the relay and the bulbs.

Yeah, it takes a three terminal HD flasher available at any auto parts store. Wiring is similar to what you have now with the addition of a ground connection for that third flasher terminal. I did not bother with changing my turn signals over to LED. They don't use power continually like a tail light or brake lights when you are sitting at a light.

All my lights are LED and I didn't have to change or fabricate anything ,,, just wired them up to the factory wires and baaam, they work like a charm, my blinker clicks louder now I think lol Just my 2cent

I thought LEDs had to be wired up to a DC power source?

Leds, at least some of them without a driver circuit, will light on both DC and AC. If it has a built in driver circuit looking for DC then...it needs DC.

Some LED lights have a ballast resistor built in so they will operate a flasher. The down side to that is they use almost as much power as a regular incandescent bulb. They may last longer but the heat from the ballast resistor may eventually mess things up.

Ah good to know, I've got LED indicators, flasher, tail light and I've got this light bar coming to use as a headlight, I was trying to think of a way to beef up my DC circuit to run it all!

To beef up your 50cc scooter DC power you will need an upgraded stator to fit your engine and 6 terminal full wave rectifier-regulator to match the stator. Rewiring will be required.

Will now try running my LED stuff off AC first, before I go about upgrading anything. But my thinking was as I don't have anything AC left on the scooter, I was going to attempt to run 2 regulator/rectifiers, one for each of the stator outputs, but only wired up to the rectifier side of both of them, that way both AC outputs are rectified to DC -well in my mind at least.
