I've read those pg pipes are famous for the rattle. I really like the arrow but it is pretty loud. Maybe repacking the silencer could help if it bothered you. I would go for it!

Bam! Guess what I did in the first time in forever?? That's right I took the elite in today. It was great. I been taking the Fz-09 and the intruder the past few months. I took so long trust the elite, because it had a problem (orjust bad luck) popping tubes in Feb. Well anyways the elite served me well today The metropolitan wheels are tubeless and will fit on the elite. Plus they are a tad wider 2.15 compaired to 1.85. Might be worth it for you. I have a front you can have for shipping.

And a bump for me. I rode to work today. It was raining pretty badly when I went in. The roads were wet enough that I simply didn't know how hard to ride. It's a new bike to me. So I just don't know yet how hard I can push turns. So I rode it like a grandma and took back roads. It sure seems sure-footed on dry pavement. But when it's wet? Only experience will tell.
I do know that I would have felt more sure of myself on my motorized bike or my pedal bicycle. So I took the motorized bike out for a spin after I got home. Just to make sure it's up to snuff and can carry me on any upcoming rainy mornings.
The noise was just horrible compared to my Kymco People! It's going to take some real willpower to ride that that bike in the future.
I logged on tonight in order to start a thread asking for tire advice. I'm the sort who will ride in rough weather. I'm likely to want tires with a more aggressive tread than normal. So I'll go start that thread now.

Today I rode to and from work, didn't want to, but I did, I pulled my helmet out of the closet for the first time today in maybe 6-7 weeks.. Being Memorial Day Weekend and and working on the "Best Beach Town in Florida(by USAToday)" in Clearwater Florida, a lot of people come for vacation and party, I rode to work with my helmet, put my helmet inside the kitchen and totally forgot I put it there and left it there!! Just got home a bit ago and gotta be back at 10am!!!

Today took mine to work. Right now it saved my time in the traffic jam, since they are on road works.

The weather is getting nice in MI. now. I do ride 15 miles to work, 2 or 3 days a week. I have to wear a heavy coat in the morning (55 to 60 degrees). In the afternoon it's in the high 70's to low 80's and is a very pleasant ride.

And today did the same. Cold in the morning, warm in the afternoon. Just the wind gusts made me to be more cautious.

The only bad thing about riding to work is the HOT seat when it sits in the sun all day!
But a great way to enjoy the commute to and from work!

I'm cheating a bit, I guess, by bumping this thread since I've been riding my pedal bike to work the last three days.
My scooter is quite new --to me anyway-- and I'm still thrilled with riding it, of course. But I've also felt myself getting soft for a while now. So I simply have to pedal my butt around more than I have been doing for a while.
And it really did feel good. On the first morning I found myself thinking that I felt pretty weak for about ten minutes. Then I got 'in the groove' and felt good and strong that day in both directions. Thursday I felt the same. So far, so good.
I wondered if I ought to scoot this morning. But I felt strong. So I went ahead and pedaled. But today I could feel that I was getting just a little bit spent.
Coming home is a fairly serious climb. About two thirds of the way up I had to shift down into my very lowest gears. Though it still felt good I could tell that I was dipping into my reserves.
So tomorrow it's the scooter for me. I feel just fine about that because I've earned it.
And I'll try to remember to bump this thread legitimately tomorrow evening.
A bonus: next week I only work three days and then it's followed by five whole days off. This is because I'm shifting my schedule around to cover staffing gaps for a colleagues vacation. That's not a problem, of course.
But three days on, five days off. Life is good......
