Bought this for 160 bucks, in decent aesthetic condition save for two turn signals that need replaced and no center stand. Good tires. Came with the original pink slip, owner's manual, Kymco double sided 10/12mm wrench and screw driver, some starting fluid, a nice cable lock, and a nice Fly brand reflective vest. Let's not forget the coupon for a free small fry from McDonald's and the receipt for the recent piston job without putting oil back in. After a compression test of 60psi and the surprise of no oil in it I'm going to build this up, starting with an 80cc bbk and going from there. High hopes for at least a 50mph machine by the end. I have a lot of faith in my Kymco's. And my daughter insisted on me showing off her chalk flower picture lol. 90GTVert, can you move this to builds? I didn't look deep enough for that section... Thanks in advance!

Nice flower and cute daughter. You should have her do some custom paint on your scoot...I suggest shark teeth, ha ha.
You can't go wrong in building a 4T, and Kymco is Japanese or Korean right? No Chinese iffy parts there.
Best of luck with this. I still can't believe those fools did not add oil, or at least tell you it was empty.

They're Taiwanese. Not as high regards as Japanese, but higher than Chinese. I'm trying to research when they started using the crappier Chinese engines in their 4t's. There was a point that they were good, Kymco quality, then the not so good run of the mill gy6. That's the only reason I may be happier about it being 2009 and not 2012. I'll ask on the Kymco forums. And thanks, Bill. She's my life. She says she likes the red one, this one, the best now, so she may get some paint work in. She may get more excited for the blue tgb behind it in one of the pics. I'm lightly planning to do a Frozen build for her, changing the blue to more of an ice blue and revamping the silver and maybe some white. Chrome some things too.

Man, I keep seeing these one box tuning kits for stupid cheap on eBay, shipping from here in NC so I know I'll get it quick. Someone tell me a horror story so that I'll buy some quality named parts... A "100cc" (50mm is not100cc??) kit with carb, variator, filter, exhaust, intake, head, cdi, coil, banana, crowbar, trombone, and so much more! For less than 200. I spent about 200 on my malossi kit alone for the Super 9

Surgery begins. Patient has been comatose for weeks prior to lack of proper fluids. Inspection of internal injuries to come...

And now this. Avert your eyes if you're squeamish. It looks nasty.. And check out how well it wiggles!! vimeo.com/145879443Cylinder walls aren't horrible... I could probably go get a piston real quick and have her running today. But I'm kinda feeling dedicated to a bbk, etc.

Wrist pin won't come out. It moves in the piston, a lot lol, and moves in the connector rod, but won't come out. Guess I need to go get some bolts and washers, etc.

You should bring that to the shop that worked on it. Tell em to put it on their wall of shame.
This is a perfect example of why not to walk away from a motor while working on it... You forget to do something.
