At the junk yard today and saw either a 50 cc or a 150 short block with rear disc break. Do they come from factory like that or did someone buy a hub kit? I am going back to get it tomorrow, just wanted to know?

It's probably a 150. I haven't seen a factory 50 with rear disc, unless maybe one of the European makers is doing it. Dbl check that the axle sz and splines are the same.

There's a few 50's that have rear disk- some malaguti's and I've even seen Roketa's with rear disc (they rent them in Clearwater). Couple folks here with rear disc TGB/Morini's also...

You can see the dual master cylinders on this Roketa 4 poke... I've also seen Roketa 2t's with front/rear disk brake...

Its definitely a qmb engine. I saw the stampings the other day when I went back, but could not get the disc off. I will have to go back again to buy the whole thing casing and all. 10 bucks and comes with stator and clutch. No to shabby.

If you look close there's only one master cylinder on that scoot niz76. One protrudes through the plastic the other is a plastic cap similar to the TaoTao VIP.

The main problem with converting to disc brakes is a whole new wheel plus, there isn't a factory mounting location on the frame for the caliper.

Beta Eikons, Kymco Super 9's, Roketa MC-01-50Y to name a few that are 50cc with rear disc. Here is a trick, go to racingplanet.com. Search for "rear disc brake" Select a brake rotor or caliper. Select "Application Tab" You will see a list of make and models that have a rear disc.

Could have been it. It had a aprilia sr50 rim on the qmb engine. Wish I was able to see the whole thing before disassembled and crushed
