I would like to give you more Info but I really just went one time around the block and that is not enough. Also I lack the roller weights, maybe a couple heavier ones will be better? Stuff the ones you have with aluminum foil. I have to mod all 19x15 rollers/sliders for my OR because apparently no one else uses them with 100cc low rev stuff and needs 10-14g weights in there. Other option is a softer contra, but for me I'm using a stock 139QMB contra as-is. I'd prob need 15-20g with the contras most use. At very least, stuffing them will help you figure out what you need. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/1199/modding-roller-weights

spaz12 Looks like you were right. The Polini factory really fucked up. The shop didn't open the product box so Polini not only put somebody's finger prints all over the drive face but also added 2x the same roller set. I am glad that this kind of unprofessional behavior did not happen with my Polini Sport cylinder. It does leave some bitter taste though and I will think about it twice before ordering something from Polini again. Imagine, that Variator suppose to be their flag ship, top of the line. I cannot imagine to pay a large amount of money for an Evo crank or Evo cylinder only to find something missing, damaged or wrong with the product. If that is how Polini treats their products then.... Well I will get a partial refund for the rollers because, as I thought, shipping to Japan for a roller set is too expensive. Kinda feel sorry for the shop since it was not their fault but they have to deal with it now. Human error. I'm glad it's human error and not perfectly placed in the package by a machine. That means one more person employed. Maybe not the right person since he rubbed his poopy fingers all over your shiny variator It all worked out a little better anyway because you'll need heavier weights and now you get a partial price reduction. Shit happens. Literally in your case

90GTVertThanks Brent that is a very good idea! Now that I have a spare set of rollers I could try that. I use stock contra spring, any other spring I used with my setup thus far produced negative results. I might have to change the clutch springs maybe but that I will decide once I get closer with the roller weights. spaz12My luck eh!? From all the packages they make I get the masturbating Idiot guy version. lol Maybe it is some kind of Polini Limited Edition?

Got my treatland carb stuff today! Yeah! When I was looking for AU vs AN atomizer stuff I stumbled across a Bushing remove/install manual but can't find it anymore. If anyone has a bushing removal link bookmarked please post here the link, thank you.

I feel so empty after watching that video. Half way through the install it just quits! Kaput! Nada! Nothing! How the hell will I ever learn to install my Polini Variator? You should fire the director. Um, I'll look for that bushing write up for ya.

spaz12I think or I hope you know how to install the rest. lol It was difficult enough to hold my phone in one hand and do all with the other. I even recorded a video with voice but my english accent sucks so I deleted it. I swear next money goes out for a Go-pro like camera, maybe a SJ-4000 or something like it.

Thank you for the vid. spaz12It was difficult enough to hold my phone in one hand and do all with the other. I even recorded a video with voice but my english accent sucks so I deleted it. I swear next money goes out for a Go-pro like camera, maybe a SJ-4000 or something like it. If you want a cam to do this sort of thing, get a camcorder or probably the cheapest option would be to buy an adapter for your phone so it can go on a tripod or by now there are probably phone specific tripods out there. If you want to film rides, then go for the action cam of some sort... or again you have options for phone mounts.

An action cam would be sweet. I can get the Go-Pro china copy cam, I think SJ4000, for $75 here with all kinds of mounts already included in the package. I just mainly took the video as a help to understand what I explained a few posts earlier regarding the collar and the back plate. I can only imagine how much work Brent put inside his videos with all the recording, editing and uploading and his English is way better.

I've got the sj4000. Pretty nice cam but the sound of the internal mic SUCKS. I soldered up a 3.5mm jack plug to be able to use an external mic and record decent sound but stock it's just awfully bad.
But the video quality is pretty good, good enough to be able to make nice clear vid's.
BTW i need one of those polini evo variators! The look so nice and high-tech.

Just realized I don't have a 0.1g scale. Ordered a china one as soon it arrives I can start modify the rollers. Lucass2T If you want to get the Evo variator make sure it says 241.727 for the latest version or 241.707 for the older set. And I hope you don't get a limited edition like I did. lol
