So, could yous youts teach me how to do a wheelie on a 49cc scoot?? it's relatively easy to do on a motorcycle, but what the heck do you have to do to get the front up on a small scoot?? Even on my road bicycle is much easier to ride a wheelie! Sheesh! Heh

More power and heavier clutch springs would be a good start.

It also helps to have a smaller, lighter scoot that is prone to wheelies completely stock- the pre-bug Zuma's come to mind! (or is it the MBK Booster across the pond?).

Or get one of the little, light scoots like the Jog, Prebug or Honda Elite.

It's hard on my GY6 scoot, but it's not impossible. I haven't done many wheelies longer than 10 ft or so, but it can be done. I think the problem is that when I lift off the throttle it's not responsive enough to get back on the power and keep me off the ground. (All stock apart from an 82cc BBK and 9g rollers.) I was wondering if I could just hold the throttle open and use the back brake to manage my balance..
I haven't fallen off doing a wheelie yet but when I was trying to do one in the yard a few months ago I went back too far and my luggage rack dug into the dirt. Managed to keep it from falling and there was no damage. So yeah, it takes practice. A lot.

Never done on a 49 cc but on my 150cc I can bring it sight up from a complete stop. So this guy on his bike that was riding in front of me kept doing them and looking back and laughing. So when I got next to him at the light I brought it all the way up for a good 15 20 feet. So he gaught up to Mr and the next light said he was amazed that a scooter could do a Willie like that. I rode off laughing my ass off

Be careful on a scoot like the Chinese 139QMB. They are very light on the front end and once the front end gets up it wants to keep going on over real fast. That's part of the reason I put a 6" stretch on mine to help keep the front end down. With my 47mm bbk and tuned I could sit all the to the back of the seat (where I usually sit anyways) and from a complete stop twist the throttle and would have to either pull myself over the bars or let off the throttle. It can be done but you have a very very small balance point. As for the 2t scouts I have no idea but I'll know better pretty soon.

He hasn't been around much lately, but 2strokd can do it on any scoot. Stock you have to pull it up and then be able to balance it and use the rear brake to control it from what he's told me. Sitting on the back helps. Some kneel on the rear of the seat. Some stand. I wouldn't know. I have to do power wheelies and once it starts to feel high, I get out of it. As much as I wanna do wheelies, I just don't have that gift.

I've tried to do a few wheelies standing on the luggage rack but it seems to be getting loose and one or two of the bolts are somewhat stripped so.. yeah..

My SA50 Honda Elite would easily wheelie bone stock. And now, sheesh. Some are easier then others. It just takes practice.

I can do it on my trash 139qmb sitting way back on the seat. I stopped doing it after I fell sideways ad about hit a parked car.
I find the trick is to get rolling, goose the throttle and throw your weight back.

You can easily do wheelies on a derestricted Piaggio Zip. Just full throttle and weight balancing. But...Guys from the USA are out of luck, very few zip's over there.

My qmb 72cc taotao does wheelies, but once you let off it doesnt come back on fast enough to take it back up. I always ride the rear brake to maintain angle. My longest wheelie is prob like 60 feet. I cant wait to stuff this adly mina in one of these scoots.

All three of mine will lift the front wheel, it just takes some practice.
My Helix is too cumbersome for a wheelie longer than a few feet, but the Cyprus is more rear wieghted, making it easy to pull, but still hard to maintain and balance.
Now, the little ETon, with 2k clutch springs, a 72cc Corsa and a chamber pipe, almost wheelies itself.
I guess if u sit far enough back and have the strength to pull the front up, the issue becomes balance.
