Well, We've just moved into our new house and I've currently got mine and my wife's scooters in storage. At the new house, I do not have a building or garage to keep our scooters in so I'm a little hesitant to bring them here. The weather has been extremely nice lately and there's been a few days we could have rode them, but we've held off since we really don't have anywhere to put them. I do have a nice large driveway with a covered 2 car side-by-side carport. I don't want to have to keep going to the storage place where I have them just to go for a ride then putting them back.
Any suggestions on how I can secure my scooter? I'd like to find some kind of alarm that would go off if it was moved. I'm also thinking about getting a huge chain to run through both wheels and connect each scooter together.
There is a steering wheel lock on each scooter, and my wife's Vino has a feature which locks the rear wheel also, but it would be pretty easy for a couple guys to grab one scooter and lift it into the back of a truck..

Buy a shed from Lowe's and put them in there. Or just park them in the living room like I do

We live in a crummy 1st floor apt in NE Philly; my wife doesn't get much say in the matter until we can move to safer pastures lol.

Every scooter here in Hawaii is locked with kryptonite locks and chains. Big, heavy duty things that usually come with a warranty if your scooter is stolen. Just throw the chain through the back tire and around a post or the other scooter. Put a cheap bike lock through the front tire if you want a little extra protection. Hawaii has a very high rate of scooter theft and I've done this for years without a problem.

Park them at the dining table so you can use them as chairs.

A big chain round something solid is the way to go. Try to keep the chain lock off the ground or they are easy to smash

I'm planning on chaining them with a big heavy chain. I was just thinking about getting a couple of the alarm locks that go in the front discs also..

Yeah a disk lock is also advisable. A beefy motorcycle lock plus a disk brake lock should be enough. You could also dig hole in the yard, poor it with concrete and put a piece of thick rebar or some other metal bar in it to which you can lock your scoot.

I just bought my scooter two days ago. And right now I have a bully lock. It's a bulky chain & lock combo. The only thing is its very short in length.

I leave mine in an unlocked garage, almost always with the key in the ignition. Yay for white middle class towns...

I just bought 2 disc alarm locks. Should get them tomorrow. Getting a chain too so I can chain them to each other. May put an alarm lock on that also just as an added bit of security. I'll have to check my carport to see what I can chain them to..

mine has an alarm on it.. it makes it pretty nosey if its messed with.. doesnt stop them if they really want it but sure draws alot of attention to someone, that being said theres not many people out here who would steal a scooter... they think they slow and boring... boy are they wrong hahah
