I should add that my scoot looks like shit because all the plastics are taken off but it runs better than any other scoot I've ever owned. That's the only reason I wanna keep it. It's never had any problems and it's runs perfect and is good to me

Sounds like a seized engine or the belt broke and got wrapped around the variator pulley. It's probably been run into the ground and needs a complete engine rebuild with a new crank and tranny bearings but at that price it would be worth it...to me anyway.

How much to fix. Worst case scenario? I'm sure I could find another engine that runs around my area for about 50$

I would. They can be made quick on the cheap, or get it running and flip it for $5-600.

Maybe the kick-start gear came off track or something. Either way I think I'm gonna jump on it tomorrow

Those kick starters become tight without a bit of grease.
